I have put together a whole new comp just for Diablo 3. I wanted to make sure that I could play the game on max settings which is something I definitely would not have been able to do with my old comp which as was medium settings at best. So, I ordered all of the parts and got my friend to put it all together for me. I finally have it all up and running and cannot wait to see how awesome D3 is on this thing. I have been going back and just watching all of the videos and it is already amazing.
My new comp is comprised of a 27" HD monitor, 12GB of ram, 750GB hardrive and a 160GB solid state drive, and a EVGA GTX 590 graphics card. For a full list of parts click the spoiler.
awesome, with that beast you can crush every single game on the market, crysis 2 or metro 2033. and you got some beautiful wiring management skills there.
oh yea dont forget to tell us your d3 gaming experience with that when the beta comes out.
The wiring management all goes to my friend who actually put it all together.
@Debo - I got it now since it was my graduation gift. I could have waited for better parts or lower prices but... I also hope to being playing the game before actual release

Damn you, I'm jealous though I would prefer a laptop and I know that means I'm sacrificing a lot (A LOT) but playing wherever and whenever is worth it, also I would be using this more than gaming, so I would need it for school and work, and just hate being trapped in one spot. I just got the Witcher 2, damn computer that I have can't run it, luckily I borrowed it from a friend before buying. When it gets closer to release and I have some actual clue on what the system requirements will be I'm gonna get some parts and just build a laptop.
Also I don't have 3k for a computer..

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?
Such a bad ass computer I was expecting a 40" monitor or something. Last week I had to decide between golf clubs and a new computer for diablo, this kinda makes me regret my choice of the clubs.
Not bad, only thing I'd really do different would be the internal HDD and the case
I'd go with an WDC-Green instead, 2tb (best value for your money) or a AVC 2tb. And the case, ever seen Define R3, Black Pearl, by Fractal Design? Beautiful, a builders dream, and quiet as a mouse
As for topic, put together something similar to yours, also to run Diablo 3 at max (But I got 16tb storage ^^)

HAHA I wired mine myself : ) now if I only had the more expensive parts that you do. you have literally 1 step up on my parts for every item it's kinda of annoying. BTW gratz on getting a corsair PSU that works. I had to send mine back.
Actually, on that note anyone got any tips for making SLI run right? I honestly have no idea if it is or not -.-

Very shnice! Lets hope you get in the beta so you can test it out! I heard from things aboput the 90 graphics card, thing's a beast in itself!
Can't wait to start my PC, I'm waiting till the last month before release though in hopes for new parts. Even if by some ungodly means I get the beta I'll just use my house's iMac, should run it pretty good.

count me in as well, im looking forward to some benchmarks when beta comes out and build mine around it, probably going to wait for the next gen videocard though, which should come in around christmas and early 2012, which is about the time d3 gets released (hopefully)
lol what the hell? In what year will you actually ever need that 16TB storage... Maybe around the year 2020-30 that will be common? Anyways that's just sick, I have 3TB on my desktop computer and I think THAT's overkill! LOLZ
Well.. I got about 4tb of series, mostly 720p scene releases in mkv, so no insane sizes, just lots of series. A few tb of movies, well more like 5, and couple of terra lossless music So might have to upgrade it sooner or later
But first upgrade will probably to switch the 60gig SSD (SATA-2) to a 120gig or possibly bigger (depends on how far the development has gone in a year ;))
So you see, I do have use for the 16tb storage, but that's because I use my computer to store things on
On-topic: 8 sec start-up is nice, shame it slows down eventually Gone from 13 to 18 secs now =/

Though I'm a bit worried that your video card might fry that sound card xD
I was kinda thinking the same thing, the fan for card is pretty much going to be like a hair drier, which happens to be pointing right at the sound card lol. It's a big enough case though, should have enough airflow to compensate.
