I don't get razor burns unless I'm in a bit of a rush and just happen to press a little too hard when dragging the razor across my neck area, underneath the ears, but towards the chin a bit more. The place where you can feel a pulse. And those will be a bit red and irritated for about an hour and I'm good.

So I went and bought that Gilette Fusion shaving gel that has aloe vera and fairy dust to see if it'd help with my razor burn. I ended up putting enormous amounts for it to foam properly, and even then the foam seemed to fade away a minute in. My razor burn was actually worse, with my entire face looking like a frikkin' bloody mess after I finished and my dad telling me "damn, maybe there's something wrong with you. Think I should get you a doctor's appointment?". It sucks when the generic 1$ shaving cream beats the living shit out of the 6$ renowned brand. Gilette my fucking ass.
So it appears that the razor burns were from a previous razor I use (the Gilette Blue II Plus), and now everything is practically gone, and I'm not getting any razor burns. Go Gilette ?
Putting some moisturiser on after shaving usually helps me. If I forget though sometimes I get those nasty red marks on my neck. I only use an electric shaver as I'm too lazy and don't want to cut myself with the standard razor.
