God, I hate razor burns. I usually shave at the barber shop because it saves me the hassle, and it only costs 2$. But since I'm really lazy and I don't like people fucking around my face with a razor and filthy hands, I went and bought the super-hyped and mega-advertised Gilette Fusion. I think it has 28 razors REALLY close together so that they glide and the surface friction of the flux capacitor is low enabling maximum superloading of the continuum transfunctioner, or something. So I put a ton of quality shaving cream, I shave really slowly, apply cold water after shaving, then put some quality after shave, and my skin STILL turns baboon ass red, itches, burns, and annoys the bejeezus out of me. Not a day later, my once really close shave disappears and hair starts showing prominently. What the fuck man. This whole shaving business is a frikkin' propaganda conducted by my own facial hair, Gilette, and Nazi generals that are still in hiding.
So yeah, discuss razor burns or anything razor burns related..or something.
Eh you just don't shave enough. Your skin might just be getting irritated because you hardly shave and when you finally do it aggravates the skin. I shave once a week. I also use a shaver, try that. I use lectric shave or any other pre-shave to get the hair standing and make it easier to shave than afterwards I use some post-shave lotion to reduce any irritation I would have. I don't feel a thing.

I agree with feminism. I don't think that it's right that for every dollar a man makes, a women gets 70 cents. Why do I only get 30 cents and some chick gets the rest?
I've been shaving for 4 years. I shave 3 times a week minimum. The razor I use has a band that makes the hair come out so the blade can get a close shave. I also put hot water on my face to make the hair all loose and smooth. I do use aftershave. Nothing works.
I've given up on shaving. I just use a trimmer now so I'm not Grizzly Adams. I have let it go recently though.
I got this neat ass trimmer though a couple months ago. It has like a vacuum on it that sucks up the hair as you go. Works really well if your facial hair is short to medium short. Works pretty well for longer facial hair also just gets filled up fast and have to empty it.
I've been shaving for about 5 years or so. It doesn't really bother me. I usually only shave about once a week. I don't care enough about a clean shave to do it every other freakin' day when it grows back. I just let it hangout for about a week lol. What the hell is up with razors getting dull? The guy from Kill Bill needs to make me a razor.

"I want to say something but I'll keep it to myself I guess and leave this useless post behind to make you aware that there WAS something... "
"We're like the downtown of the Diablo related internet lol"
It's terrible, and it's complete torture in another area that I won't get into. Our anatomy got screwed on this topic. I use the Gillette Fusion proglide I think it's called, and it seems to work better for me.
I don't always shave... but when I do... I just use my Gilette Mach 3. Works fine. Wonder why I don't get razor burn easily... I have naturally really dry skin, could that have anything to do with it? I usually trim my beard, then wet my face with warm water and lather it up. Nothing special. Don't even use aftershave. I love the way shaving cream makes my skin feel.
A machine makes my skin itch even more than blades do, and it doesn't give me that close shave look. In short, only pansies choose machines over razor blades, and I mean that in the most un-emo way humanly possible, because even Jesus hates emos.
I shave on very rare occasions and often feel like my technique is clumsy at first (takes me a min to remember how to do it properly). This causes irritation on the affected areas, but I am generally not too bad for razor burn. Usually I just trim the beard to keep it short and neat.
As a dude that keeps a goatee, gets bad razor-burn and break out after every shave... Here are the only suggestions I can give you that i know will help..
1. Try getting and anti-fog mirror for your shower, and shave in the shower. It works wonders.
2. Shave right after you get out of the shower and DON'T dry your face before hand!(Obviously this is if you didn't shave in the shower.)
3. Sensitive balms/lotions/aftershaves will actually make it worse. I can go into detail about that later if you wish. Use Old Spice original, or Brut original. They have a high alcohol content but will clean your skin more and actually help out.
4. Always shave with Barbasol Beard Buster Original. If you use this, any aftershave should be obsolete and only used as a smeller-gooderest.
