Looks solid. I think you ment AMD Phenom II X4, right?
What i'd do different would be the Graphics Card. If you go ATI i strongly suggest 5850 or better. Also, a hard disk with a better Cache (32MB) would be better for your main disk.
I'm no expert so i might aswell be wrong, but i think 64 bit hardware works better with 64 bit OS' (like Windows 7 Ultimate 64 for example). If your Windows isn't 64bit it won't read more than 3gb ram.
its good for an athlon build but like previously said i wouldnt go less than 5850 ati, or gtx560 for price. it seems a good rig however at pc parts pricing i personally would go higher. and intel myself. aswell the power supply is very low. but for the price it will put you in the ballpark for gaming. the biggest thing with pc is you can't be afraid to spend more than what you have. because a year from now you'll be glad you did. i suggest a $1500 build every 3years if possible. but like i said $660 Nice price
^ I have a 460GTX, the thing is great. It's not some huge clunker in my case, it's relatively small, quiet and stays cool. The card is not top (well even that title is quickly lost these days) but it's a great card and I bought it about 6 months ago for great value as well. CPU is good, everything looks fine. All I would do is in the next year or two (Well seeing as this is Dfans, maybe wait until release?) and buy a new video card. Hold off as long as you can, so hopefully by end of this year or Q1 2012, the game is out and then you can pick up a new card.
if anyone knows athlon does plan to release it's 16core processor, so pricing on processors might go down. i highly doubt it would be significant enough to worry but late this year with holidays sales u could piece it during the year.
unfortuantely athlon does not compete to intel lately so i would reccomend getting away from them. my system can run Bad Company 2, Fear 2 and WOW all at the same time at 75% cpu 80% ram! Specs as follows. to give you an idea where that extra little bit goes a long way.
