I was bored the other day and started digging through my games, pulled out the Caesar case and instead found LoD inside (I had to search around for the other cd’s, lol). I decided to play it instead and went searching for patches and other information and I came across this place.
I really liked playing LoD and thought I was going to the next version when I saw the 3. Unfortunately 3 isn’t out yet so I decided to join you in your wait. It seems I came at a good time too, with a big announcement coming tomorrow. ((hops on the bandwagon))
I have only ever played single player, as I could not get any of my girlfriends or guyfriends to play the multiplayer along with me. I think I will give the multiplayer a try this time around. One question, is the game play that different from single player?
Well, that seems to be the trend nowadays (at least until 13 days ago)
Yes, definitely, its a lot faster because people help you out, and theres a new thing called the pandemonium event. Once you reach 100 posts you can join our official guild (SICK Silver Inferno Crusading Knights) and play along with us (you can play with us anyway but it wont be official).
Give, expecting nothing thereof. ------------ BoD - Come have some fun! Folks will always come and go, so enjoy them while they're meant to be in your life.
Like you, I've predominantly been a single-player kinda guy through the years. Although, I'm in the process of building-up a character on Battle.net with thoughts of jumping into the multi-player fray.
Diablo II is really a whole new experience with multiplayer. Like Murderface said, it's a lot faster due to other people being around, but it's also more fun because teamwork is involved. Since monsters are harder to kill in a large game, you have to utilize each character's strengths in different situations (unless you're a Hammerdin or other godly class, in which case, you can do whatever the hell you want).
I always thought that the best way to play the game is with a group of friends, using only what you found or were able to buy in-game. My friends and I used to do this nearly every Saturday night, each using a different class to make it more interesting.
Hallo Marie. Good to have you here. Welcome to the forums.
Your a friend of Stormcat? really? She is quite popular round these parts.
That's what 12 females now?

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
It doesn't - I was talking to Poo over MSN when she came over to tell me about this "great new site she found". lol (Never in a million years would I have pegged her as a "game player" or I would have mentioned it to her before.)
I talked her into posting an intro.

Haha, that is so cool! I would love it if one of my friends did that. But they won't, cause I've already mentioned it to them lol and didn't get a good response

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

Hmmm, Winstonthe4th is Poo. Going to have to ask her about that.
Siaynoq: Interesting fish you have there.
