Man... Holland vs Denmark was so infuriating, Holland has been my favorite team since i was a kid, and they get cheated out of a penalty at the end of a match and they missed the goal like 20 times hehe.
I really hope that referee doesn't get to judge anymore matches in the euro cup

England v France tonight... nail biter?
Hehe aye, will be interesting to see how my neighbors (Sweden) does.
The Netherlands! It's about time they take a trophy.
With the play they showed against Denmark, I'm sure they can beat ze Germans and Portugal to escape the group.
Other than that I'm rooting for Russia! They play really good right now and they haven't had any success in ages!
England 2 - 1 France
Hope so, will be interesting to see Russia playing Poland today, i doubt they will be really tested until the group phase is over though.
I'm quite excited about the matches being played later today:)
The match of truth
I hope The Netherlands can pull it off!
And why did Russia stop playing the last 30 minutes last night?
Aye
The match didn't live up to my expectations to be honest, it showed a bit that the reason they beat Czech Rep. so easy was because of the crappy defense.
Germany. Why? Because it's football, Germans always wins.
On a serious note, judging by the quality of teams Spain is considered as a favorite closely followed by Holland and Germany, but after the first round and seeing some other teams play, I highly doubt that Spain can make it.
Italy surprised me with their play style against Spain and they showed that they got the quality. Andrea Pirlo is one astonishing player. His diagonal passes would destroy Spain if there was someone else on the attack and not Mario Balotieli (not that I have something against him, but he's overrated and not for big games).
I've voted for Germany since I'm huge fan of everything German. Language, Bayern Munchen, girls, national team.
Detailed analysis will be available after the second round, and it will be easier to say who can do what. Some teams probably got "scared" of the matches and they played bad.

I love how you guys even call it football. Considering you barley use your foots at all. More like egg-throwing-stoptoformationeverysecond-slowpashedball. But thats just me.
The plural of foot is feet.
My game of choice is hockey, but that is neither here nor there.
What a let down Holland vs Germany was for me, Holland woke up way to late, hopefully Germany will beat Denmark without letting any goals in, and Holland beats Portugal 2-0.
I wasn't able to recognize the Holland last night, it looked like whole different team. Their passes were wrong, defense was way too slow and attack was unorganized. On the other side Germany showed the opposite. Perfect coordination with deadly execution.
I was surprised with performance of Mario Gomez (my opinion on him is that he's just a big pole standing in the penalty area waiting for ball to get ricochet on him and hoped for the goal). He was explosive and quite mobile.

There is always hope
This is exactly what I was thinking this morning
Somehow though, I think that Germany will "lay down" for Denmark (maybe an easy 1-1) just for the sake of eliminating the Dutch. Yes they played poorly last night but you never know what a team of that calibre can pull off later on.
Fingers crossed for a miracle in the last round ROFL!! Q_Q
I'm pretty sure it won't happen and Germans will start in their full team. If you remember the qualifications for Euro, Germans were 100% sure of their first place 2 matches before end. They played both in full team and won them although they had secured their spot on Euro.

Germans conceived the goal because they relaxed in the second half. They left too much room for v.Persie, where in the first half they stack to him like a glue. After the goal, they woke up.
My biggest question is why did Robben start in first 11? It's obvious his form is going down and on top of all he's playing against 7 of his teammates from Bayern who know his play style better than anyone. He showed absolutely nothing. Boateng and Badstuber read him like an open book.

Netherlands definitely went all out against Portugal... Their fans must be really disappointed... especially they were considered one of the favourites at the beginning
But that's the beauty of the game, so unpredictable
But then again...I don't even care about Football/Soccer, even when the Soccer World Cup was held in my country I didn't bother attending.
I prefer chess and horseback riding. Oh...and video games also (obviously)
There was ONE thing I watched regarding sports involving a 'ball' and a bunch of men, it was the Rugby thing a year or so back when they did all those awesome 'acts', such as changing the field to look like water with a shark swimming around it in. That was amazingly awesome
hey maka what are your thoughts on C. Ronaldo (or what does Portugal think of him)? There seems to be a lot of negative/sarcastic articles in the media for him for some reason (poking fun of his hair, being an annoyance?), He did perform a little inconsistently for the first couple games, but it looks like he's back in shape.
