Just wanted to make a post about my girlfriend. I started going out with her right around the time Diablo 3 was first announced, and that was something I told her I couldn't wait for that it was going to be the best game ever and that we totally had to play it. We've gone through a lot of different struggles and challenges in our relationship, dealing with distance, school and communication. She went from being a person who rarely played video games at all to being a total gamer like me that I can talk to about game content and play hardcore games with me like SC2.
We've been living together for quite sometime, and she recently had to go away for an internship on the other side of the world in Hong Kong and I miss her greatly, what I'm more sad about is that she can't play Diablo with me when it releases. I know that we can play when she gets back, I've come to terms with that, but it's what she told me the other day.
She said that she really enjoys sharing the experiences with me, with going to the midnight launch, and opening up that collector's edition box, and looking through all the goodies. She said she really missed not being able to go with me to this midnight release because it has been something I've been following since the beginning of our relationship.
I think its weird how some people say women can't be gamers and how it's a male only thing. I know that my girl could give them a run for their money.
What I'm really trying to say though, is thanks, for being there for me, and not only learning about my hobby, but making it something you enjoy too, and understand its meaning to me.
Cheers to all the girls who take care of us gamer guys!
Not to be a prick but there's probably another guy. LDR never works. You're on your own against the Lord of Terror my friend. The warrior's path is a solitary one.

Uh, you are being quite a prick there.
LDR would've never worked on me (I'm a guy), because I wanna touch stuff, not wank to her pictures.
But it does work for some people.

It isn't a long distance one, she went away for an internship, we've been living together for quite sometime now I shall face the lord of terror with hope and optimism! I think from the long distance we've worked it out quite nicely!
My fiance' saw me looking at Diablo 3 videos and I got into the closed Beta. She was looking at it all ''What the heck is that?'' Then I come home one day to her playing on my Beta account with this big and . Needless to say she pre-ordered that day and is gonna be playing a monk alongside my Barbarian. No surprise really. She raided three nights a week on WoW till about 4 months ago when her job wouldn't let her anymore. Only reason she's ever been into Wow, and now Diablo 3 is cause of my interest in it. She's one of those girls that says ''Well, if you're so into it I'll give it a try.'' Big thumbs up to all girl gammers. Or any girl who is willing to let us guys have our games.
Dear OP.. your post stinks of "look at me I have a relationship with an actual female, hurray for me".
You're really thanking your girlfriend on a d3 forum instead of through the use of flowers, letters, chocolates, kisses etc.?
Sorry for being a prick, but WTF is up with that?
Does she only frequent these forums since you are using them as a communication channel? Is your post a statement of never-ending love and if so, wouldn't you be better off facilitating it otherwise?
How does this at all fall under D3 discussion?
Tbh, I did this primarily not so that she could see it, I said it because I've been seeing such negative aims at girls in gaming, just wanted people to know that there are some girls out there that enjoy our games as much as the males do. I'm sorry if the post is perhaps too positive for you, simply being thankful for something.
If this post is in fact, in the wrong spot the I agree, would a mod please move it, my mistake. I've never made a topic on these forums before.

Some ppl r eediots... if this guys wants to thank his gamer GF and she looks at these threads at all it will be up there with RL pressies...
Hmm.. have you ever been so far even as decided to use go want to look more like?
Sorry if my post sounded negative OP, but this is a gaming forum...
Saw some ridiculous self-pity post about a guy getting dumped recently and I know I shouldn't (mods should) but I felt the need to point out what these forums are for.
P.S. I think it's cool that you have a GF who games - the best of luck to you both.
I always thought DiabloFans was a site for finding love. They lied when they promised I could meet females who were interested in Diablo, I guess :(.
Cool story bro, but why should we give a fuck?
Dunno bout the rest of the guys around here but I come to this forum to read DIABLO 3 related posts, not some guy getting dumped or writing a love letter to his GF.
If you don't care, why post here? The world doesn't revolve around you ;]
Fun. All of my relationships have been with fellow gamers... can't imagine trying to spend time with someone who didn't want to play with me, especially at times like this. Of course, it's easier to find fellow gamers to date when one is female.

I was thinking of just linking this to her later on, don't know after the first reply though... would be terribly insulting
