Q: I'm a black woman & didn't understand or like the brilliant last scene with the BLACK zombies in chains!
A: Michonne is a major character in the comic book. She uses those walkers to repel others.
I hate people. What a fucktard that person asking the question is. Even if they haven't read the comics, maybe if they did a bit of research (like I just did) they would easily find that Michonne is a black woman. Even if she wasn't black, WHO CARES. Grow the f up trying to pull the racist card watching a zombie apocalypse show.
Okay, rant over. Season finale was amazing. The last few episodes were amazing. The beginning of the season reeeeeeeeeeally dragged on, but the end episodes made up for it.
Loved the comics and I am mostly enjoying the show. One of my favorite things about the comics was how the writer handled the female characters. I was pleasantly surprised to find well-written "heroines" in a work of fiction in this day and age. It seems like every movie, comic, video game, etc. requires that strong female character that beats up the bad guys as easily or more easily than the male character can despite being a mere 100 lbs and having zero combat training (SEE! GIRLS CAN DO ANYTHING GUYS CAN DO! YAAAAA!.)
Michonne, for example, was an athletic, powerfully-built female athlete (Serena Williams?) that also happened to spend years practicing her fencing... and thus made a believable and interesting "strong female" character. Compare her to a character like... the girl from Pirates of the Carribean... or the "shield maiden" in Lord of the Rings that takes down the mammoth... I know these movies aren't exactly trying for realism, but it's the arch-type (100lb female warrior with no strength, training, or experience, yet somehow powerful just because girls can do whatever boys can do) that bothers me, not the lack of realism.
Andrea's character in the Walking Dead comic was another good one. She didn't need to be battle-savy with "girl power," she just had very deadly aim and practiced daily with a rifle.
I like the direction D3 is taking, at least with the female barbarian model. I was honestly expecting another lithe, scantily clad warmaiden. That being said, I predict she will be the least played class-gender combo in the game, possibly surpassed only by the female Witch Doctor. Most of the WoW crowd will wanna play the cute female Monk, Wizard, or Demon Hunter, and a few people will play the "ugly" female Barbarian or Witch Doctor mostly for lulz (and they will give them ridiculous sexual names, as per every single D2 Amazon having a reference to boobs in their name.)

This "liberal" crypto-marxism is inherent of the agendas of those that back these industries they've been gradualism propaganda mills since day one, the wealthy backers in the industry are socialists that spend their time protecting their wealth with subtle and not so subtle programming.
It's ridiculous that it's not apparent that the "girl power" is a hegemony tool similar to the "white power" tool that has always been intended to be divisive and push insecurities on the general public in order to silence them with intimidation if someone attempts to course correct from utter fallacy they are attacked by people pushing this fantasy.
The insecurity you push on people is what drives them into the work force to make the rich more rich by standing on top of the labor force.
The traditional female gender role has generally been supplanted by the service industry and government which is a service as well, this is the simplified goal of these industries as disharmony fuels their expansion as it creates a need.
The female gender role of teaching and raising secures for you the future, you take a nations children and every generation brainwash them into being more and more rebelliously morally ambiguous, confusing them and feeding them emotional arguments and eventually you've established a revolution from the inside all the while the people think they are making decisions but they are only doing them based on the information immersively put in front of them, the path is controlled and it's even being waved in peoples faces.
Walking dead are the people already dead thinking they are alive, already having their destination set by believing in mechanistic dogma, "because baby we were born this way".....
The original archetype ate the brains of the living because they couldn't create/think for themself they would just eat others that went against the herd and use their ideas when it served.

Well, I think it was intended more as a hypothetical question the way some questions in a FAQ are.
Andrea's character in the Walking Dead comic was another good one. She didn't need to be battle-savy with "girl power," she just had very deadly aim and practiced daily with a rifle.
I don't really like her character in the show that much. I hate her contradictory logic about the post-apocalyptic society. Especially when she goes on about how that suicidal girl needs to decide for herself whether to live. Cause Andrea in the first season, pretty much didn't make that decision really on her own and yet she still insists on living. It was Dale that guilt tripped her into not killing herself and so she didn't want Dale to die too so she did flee the CDC building. Yet later she was pissed at Dale for robbing her of that choice, but who was stopping her now? If anyone really wants to kill themselves they're gonna do it. But people intervened anyway and arguably saved Andrea's life. Yet she's all saying no one should intervene in that girl's life and try to stop her from killing herself? I just thought she was stupid. Plus she shot Daryl because she was further stupid.
I can't stand Laurie. I feel like if it weren't for her little talk with Shane he was STARTING to calm down. She sort of reaffirmed his feelings. I don't really care for too many of the characters. I like Glenn, I liked Dale, a few others are okay, Rick seems to be turning into sort of a prick. My favorite character is one that actually isn't even in the comic, Daryl.
Which by the way, did his brother really die? I guess so...? They really made it seem like he sawed his arm off and got away. Maybe we'll see him later on?
Yeah I was talking with a buddy of mine and we agreed it was that talk with Shane that finally pushed him over the edge. As if Shane was becoming detached from his feelings but when Laurie did all that apologizing to him it gave him some new hope that they really could be together. Now Laurie is all self-hating and she's taking it out on Rick I think. I mean she was the one who first suggested that he kill Shane.
I seriously wish we could see Daryl's brother but it's starting to look less likely and I can't bring myself to read ahead in the comics to see if he appears. Actually no, cause in the comics that scene never happened anyway. Glenn just rescues Rick from the city and they never meet Daryl's brother and none of that stuff ever happened. I'm glad the comic is significantly different from the show though. They are different for valid reasons and not just superfluous reasons.
I really wish we'd see the black guy Morgan and his kid again. I think they're story was really fascinating and they were good characters.
I'm thinking we MAY see Daryl's brother in the prison. It's a real shame they haven't revisited that.
Yeah it sort of sucks we never see Morgan again either, I don't expect him to necessarily be alive but it'd be nice to know what happened or something.
Rick sort of makes himself look like a psycho yelling about how he killed his best friend for everyones good because "you saw the way he looked at me and taunted me". Why didn't he just tell them the guy had a gun pointed at him?
Without reading ahead in the comics or a wiki I was thinking maybe she uses those zombies as like an odor shield sort of like they did when they rubbed guts on them, that or they help her track down the living.
Yeah that FAQ I think mentions that's the purpose of the chained zombies. Seriously that was so awesome. I never saw anything cool like that in any other zombie movie or game. It was just brilliant. Only thing I'm wondering is why the zombies on the chains aren't trying to bite her. Like if she uses the chained zombies to deter others, why aren't the chained ones all hungry for her. They're just kind of standing there.
I think Rick is a bit broken now though or a tad psycho. I mean, he's gonna have to change more in order to survive and continue being a leader. It's like, he killed Shane, but he absorbed some of Shane's pragmatism and ruthlessness. Though I always think Rick was ruthless but he had better control over it than Shane ever did. So he'll need to become a bit harder in order to survive the upcoming ordeal.
Well they didn't have bottom jaws right? So I guess they just accepted that they wouldn't be able to eat her. Which would make them not as brainless as you'd think.
Hmm, intriguing theory I suppose about them cognitively realizing the futility of it. It's hard to imagine they'd give up though. The hunger for living flesh is supposed to be like the primary drive of zombies above all else.

She is a bit annoying indeed, i always liked shane more then rick until the end, i was sure Daryl's brother would make a comeback in season 2, would have forced Daryl to chose between the group or his brother.
My favorite characters at the moment are Glenn and Daryl.

Laurie does need to die. Daryl's brother will return in season 3 the shows creator blatenly hinted at it. Daryl is the man, and though some people may not like rick I feel he has only made some dumb calls because he was the last to be thrusted into this zombie world. The end of season 2 was him accepting that he needs to be less humane if he wants him and his family to survive.

The zombies have their lower jaws removed as well as their arms. So they're pretty much hopeless with trying to bite or feed for themselves.
I think if he is there though he could be one of the dudes running the place. Not the mysterious Governor of course, but possibly one of his lieutenants.

Does she feed train them? Seems a bit ridiculous of her to have done but would seem the manner to get it done though

A: S3 starts shooting in May.
Q: Did you consider Jenner telling a different secret in season 1 finale?
A: No, that was always Jenner's secret.
All the writers work on the scripts together.
Q: Shane's car = Hyundai sponsor for the show?
A: Yes, and a very good one.
Q: Is the zombie epidemic happening only in Atlanta or is the whole world infected?
A: The whole world has gone to shit.
Q: How are you going to handle Chandler Riggs growing faster than Carl?
A: We have frozen Chandler so he stops growing.
Q: In the 1st scene of the season finale, was that a flashback to the very beginning, or just a few days prior?
A: Flashback to the beginning.
Q: Does Michonne have the zombies on her side to get past other zombies?
A: Yes.
Q: What were the walkers actually eating when someone was getting munched on?
A: Chicken.
Q: So what was it about David Morrissey that sold you on him as the Governor?
A: David really nailed it. You'll see. We could not be more excited.
T-Dog is one of the smartest. He's kept his mouth shut. He sees how these people treat each other.
Q: How was chicken-killing scene simulated? Fake leg breaks on real chickens?
A: Sound effects. No chickens were hurt until lunchtime.
16 episodes in S3.
Q: Was the prison shot at the end of the finale CGI or real?
A: CGI prison.

A: No, Otis pur her in there just before he was killed.
Q: Why didn't Rick turn into a zombie in the hospital, Shane said he had not heartbeat!
A: Why would you listen to Shane?
Q: Did you know Daryl would become such a "love" interest for fans or did it surprise you?
A: I love Norman but was caught offguard.
Q: Was Daryl's character wrote specifically for Norman Reedus?
A: No, it was written 1st.
Q: Are we going to see Tyreese on the series? He is just too badass to not appear!
A: Let us get Michonne & the Governor up & running 1st.
Q: Why is it the turning process has become faster? Will we see a zombie Dale?
A: No zombie Dale. He was shot in the head. Ouch.
If I haven't answered your question, I'll be answering more later this week via @glenmazzara. Thank you, everyone. You are the greatest fans in the world. We love making the show for you. Thanks for everything. G'night.
Moral of Season 2? CARL STAY IN THE HOUSE!!

Which by the way, did his brother really die? I guess so...? They really made it seem like he sawed his arm off and got away. Maybe we'll see him later on?
I seriously wish we could see Daryl's brother but it's starting to look less likely and I can't bring myself to read ahead in the comics to see if he appears. Actually no, cause in the comics that scene never happened anyway. Glenn just rescues Rick from the city and they never meet Daryl's brother and none of that stuff ever happened. I'm glad the comic is significantly different from the show though. They are different for valid reasons and not just superfluous reasons.
I really wish we'd see the black guy Morgan and his kid again. I think they're story was really fascinating and they were good characters.

My favorite characters at the moment are Glenn and Daryl.

The zombies have their lower jaws removed as well as their arms. So they're pretty much hopeless with trying to bite or feed for themselves.
It seems like an appropriate place for a criminal right?
I just can't imagine why they would have left it looking like he escaped and didn't.
