Okay, so I have this handy-dandy Lexmark Impact S305 printer, which has wireless functionality (WIFI printer-friendly). For some reason, although I have it added as an exception for Windows Firewall and have all the appropriate drivers installed, it will not work wirelessly. It works instantly when I plug in the ethernet cable.
Yes, all computers and the printer are on the same network (using the printer's own interface, it shows me that it's on the same network as my computers).
I've tried accessing it with it's IP address, but it makes no difference.
Tried pinging it, and although all four packets were sent/received (good/bad?), every time it returned "Destination host unreachable."
The happy "everything's go!" WIFI light is solid green all the time.
The "user friendly" network setup software is garbage and does not help at all. Any thoughts or advice? Is this like a port issue or something?
I am actually Having the same problem with my HP5300. The wifi worked originally and then just stopped. It works if it s plugged in but the wifi is not connecting. I have tried eveything and nothing has fixed it. Unfortunately, I can't help yo but ifeel your pain.

This ping doesn't make any sense. So, from what I gathered, the 0% packet loss means that it is sending back something, but the error message means that the service is not..compatible?

If on windows vista (Windows 7? I do not know about windows 7 since I have never used it) make sure the network is not set for public.
Do you see the printer in the printer and faxes section when only using wireless mode.
Did it work before any updates (Windows or Printer)
