I fit in with the jocks although i'm not a jock. I wear Abercrombie and Hollister shirts or a plain white polo ralph lauren Tee, AE or Guess Jeans because they fit better than any jean i can find since they havent gone slim all around on me yet. My nike air force one shoes suit what i wear well and thats it, any color i like and it has to fit tight on my body or i dont like the shirt but the jeans gotta be loose a lil thats why i buy bootcut jeans :]

My backpack is a Mountainsmith. Inside it's main cargo area there is an upper divider to put stuff in. There is the small pocket on the outside upper part and a bigger pocket on the outside lower part. Then it even has some side pockets. It like just occurred to me just now how super fond I am of it.
Plain shirts, plain jeans, plain black or brown shoes. That's most of the time. I hate shirts that have pictures, or drawing or whatever on them, unless it's some writing or something small. Band shirts are an exception.
Summer/spring: solid-color t-shirts with a white undershirt. I'm really, really skinny, so if I don't wear an undershirt, adult small looks big on me. It's very gross. Jeans or cargo shorts and a nice pair of flip-flops. A backpack for my lappy, books, journals, writing utensils, of a brown and natural look.
Winter: same as above, basically, but with long-sleeved shirts under the t's. Grey, white, brown. Something neutral in most cases.
I got battery acid on my favorite green shirt. There are now little holes in it and it makes me sad. It's so hard finding good shirts for me. They need to hug the shoulders just right and not flow out at the bottoms or curl at the folds at the bottoms, and the sleeves can't puff out when the arms are against the sides.
Brown fo-leather shoes for slightly more formal occasions. I've never liked dressing up. If I do, it's always with dress shirts that don't have to bee tucked in, or I'll make it work. Whatever.

I can't wear plain shirts, yet. I just don't have the body for it. The graphics on the shirts though kind of hide my lumpiness.
Nah. I'd have to be a professor or at least an assistant professor to wear one of those.
The women won't know you're not a professor, they don't pay that much attention. Most college girls are too busy twirling their hair and chewing gum to even walk. Even the smart ones just liquify if a guy is wearing one of those. They might be good students in class but they're naughty schoolgirls on the inside. No woman can resist a guy in a corduroy jacket, those things are panty droppers.
I suppose you're right. I mean, for girls, college is just an extension of high school anyway. And fashion is more important than ever for them when they reach the college level.
I actually remember when i was in Berlin, i used to go on the subway with my backpack and i never hit anyone with it. it actually gives you some extra space because people cant stand directly behind you xD
For socks I prefer the ones that only cover your foot, rather than those creeping up on your legs that you have to pull down to not look like an idiot.
I think you look more like an idiot with those half-eaten socks that actually also look like they come with the shoe.
I gotta disagree that some kind of clothing style isn't actually a style. Hell, even if you go out with your underwear and an undervest this too becomes a style of clothing. So don't go all "wearing jeans and T-shirt ain't a style" on me
Of course it is a style since you can vary it in so many ways. You have straight jeans, bootcut jeans (my fav), low rise and the list goes on.. combine that with the tee's or shirts you wear and BAM - you've got a style! I call mine either nothing or casual. I don't follow a theme with my tee's and I only wear bootcut jeans.

I would love to, but I do not own a suit and I don't really have the money or the bodyfigure to get one.

The amount of stuff I carry, would just be too heavy for a messenger bag, my 17inch included.
I'm not sure what a trainer is but my running sneakers and hiking shoes look pretty badass. Especially the hiking shoes.
