This site hasn't lost anything. It has gained a new perspective and a new direction, which is what it needed to keep living. If we had continued on the path we were once on we simply would have petered out of existence and died. As much as some people seem to dis-like Curse (due to paranoia over a lack of available information) it really has been the best thing to happen to this site since D3 was announced... which was also a good thing.
This site is different, it's not worse in any way. Anyone who can't see that is blind.

Along the actual point of this thread, it's sad to see yet another bastion of our site's history 'fall' (so to speak). I hope what the title of your thread implies is not that you're leaving the site but simply ceasing staff duties.

While I agree with you, as a Diablo III fansite (which this site most definitely is) the whole direction its been heading into is much better for its needs. However, the small tightly-knit community can't be replicated anymore. While that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is for some.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
Agreed, you are never on. *smacks your head*

Yeah, it was nice being small, you were able to get to know pretty much everyone a bit and could form tighter friendships. Now it's harder to try getting to know half the new posters much less the majority of them. But such is progress and our ever expanding community is for the most part a bunch of decent people (there will always be a few bad apples - lol.)
I do hope that Silver does show up from time to time and has not completely left.

Smiling is infectious.
Give, expecting nothing thereof. ------------ BoD - Come have some fun! Folks will always come and go, so enjoy them while they're meant to be in your life.
Goodbye Silver, I knew you only as a lurker but I'll be sad to see you go anyway. You are a valued member of diablofans.
As for this site losing its charm and going downhill, I mostly disagree with that statement. Though certainly, it's much bigger now and has partially lost the feeling of being a tight community it still does feel like a community (albeit a much larger one)and isn't totally impersonal now as some people imply.
I hope you keep posting here occasionally Silver as we've always appreciated your input. Have a good life.
