Have you created an account under the new system that will be used for battle.net 2?
yes, but it doesn't have the link that Takumi described
so i went into my battle.net 2.0 account today and i noticed a little SC2 icon next to my betta profile settings link. i clicked it and it went to the usuall settings page. is this somonething anyone else is seeing?
I was actually thinking more like the first ones to get a actual Beta key instead of just the icon. The Icon could mean you pass the System Requirements or your eligible for the SC2 beta.

That could be the case.
However, naksucow said he opted in, and in order to opt-in, you had to download that little program to submit your system specs to Blizzard.
So... if he he properly completed the opt-in process, then he should have that icon like the rest of us.
naksucow: did you submit your system specs when the opt-in was announced here on-site, or did you opt-in earlier? If you opted-in earlier, you have to re-apply, as it describes in the opt-in thread.

I did it when it was announced here, not before. Here are a couple of screen shots of what my account shows. The first one is the home page.
The second is the page that is displayed after clicking the "beta profile settings" link, that shows my system specs.
my original theory is that our accounts have been flagged for possible selection, kinda like we made the first cut or maybe that our PC specs. are up to snuff.
or mac users  glad im on a Mac better chance i think of getting in cus i got the latest MacBookPro-Unibody 17" i got the greenicon 4 sc2 also. i have d2-lod-wc3-TFT-WoW.
specs:
OPERATING SYSTEM:MACOS 10.6.0 im also beta testing SnowLeopard which is unreleased right now ^^. so that coulda helped me out
CPU TYPE:INTEL(R) CORE(TM)2 DUO CPU T9600 @ 2.80GHZ
CPU SPEED (GHZ):2.82
SYSTEM MEMORY (GB):4
GRAPHICS CARD MODEL:NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600M GT
GRAPHICS CARD DRIVER:-
DESKTOP RESOLUTION:1920X1200
HARD DISK SIZE (GB):465.441
HARD DISK FREE SPACE (GB):353.431
So I went to my Battle.net account page for the first time since I changed my beta opt in preferences and I was this:
I assume this is what every ones looks like I just haven't noticed it before. It's probably there to just show that they are doing the SC2 beta. I just wasn't sure. Can anyone else confirm this?
I also can not click on it if that matters.
Sorry for the large image, just want to make sure it is visible.

I got the same thing. Im guessing that means that the next beta to come out will be Starcraft. Thats just my guess

Yeah, that's a recent development.
I think from the discussion we had here, that icon in your account might just mean that your system meets the specs needed to handle the SC2 beta.
Let's keep the discussion limited to one thread though, ok?
(I'll wait to merge the two until you've seen this, scyberdragon.)

yes, but it doesn't have the link that Takumi described
I have it in my account, I am not from Europe.
Huh. That's confusing, since I opted-out, but I have the graphic. It's on the front page, right under the "Manage My Games" heading:

I bet that's it...
Nope, don't think that's it; I don't have StarCraft either and I still got it in mine. I only have Diablo II and LOD and Warcraft III and expansion.
OK, then... the link to my profile settings is green; naksucow's is blue, so...
Perhaps his system doesn't meet the specs for SC2?

The link is not working for me.
