I've decided to offload some work of my own onto the shoulders of those with more time and talent than myself.
I'm looking for 3 or 4 talented artists to work on some conceptual designs for a project I'm working on known as Letum. Some of you may remember my thread regarding Letum, but I assure you, the project has taken on a life of it's own and has adapted accordingly. Overall, I'm proud of the direction I'm taking it in and believe its best from a narrative standpoint.
There is a second untitled project I've not spoken of here that could also use talented artists, but that can be discussed after I've recruited artists for this project.
I must warn you though, currently this is not a job with any compensation. Obviously if things ultimately go the way I hope they do, there will be compensation for everyone involved.
I'm looking for artists that are capable of any or all of:
-Creating biological entities (people, monsters, creatures, etc).
-Creating mechanical/architectural entities (buildings, cities, ruins, etc).
-Creating a character design from an image of a person.
Some of these entities will come from descriptions or designs I've already put in place. While many of these designs are detailed, others will leave much to the artists imaginations. As I consider everyone an equal until proven otherwise (you guys know how I am), every opinion and objection an artist has will be openly discussed and seriously considered. I'm not opposed to good ideas just because they are not mine. Credit will of course be given where credit is due.
I have seen artists here that have the talent I'm looking for. I'm not going to name names at this point. Also, I have not sought out anyone specifically.
If you're interested, please post here with some previous examples of your work and what you think your strong and weak points are. I do ask that once things move to a private discussion, it stays between the members I've chosen. This is far from ready to be publicly revealed.
Thanks for your time and I hope to get to work with some of you guys.
Depending on some factors I might be willing to do this.
- I have never worked as a concept artist before, but i have been drawing since I was a little kid.
- I am designing websites ( html and flash) It's my part time job.
- I am studying in architecture so I have some experience with programs such as Autocad and 3ds Max.
- Since i'm studying architecture, I have a good knowledge of how to draw architectural entities.
- I am also equally good at drawing people/monsters and other biological organisms (as you can see in my drawings)
- I have some experience in flash/photoshop/3ds max
- I am very enthusiastic about this whole thing since it's something that has interested me since i was a kid.
- I tend to be a perfectionnist so sometimes it takes me a while to finish my drawings.
- I don't have a lot of experience in coloring and finalising drawings in photoshop ( I will buy a pad in the next weeks and begin studying painter).
- My semester ends in about 5 weeks, I don't know what delay you want your project to be completed in but this might be the biggest problem.
Here are some examples of things i'v drawn (I don't only draw realisticaly. Altough it's my prefered drawing style, I can do something more cartoony or abstract without problems)
Time is not a factor at this point. I'm in no rush to complete the project as much as I am in a rush to get it started. It's been idling for a year now. My best guess would be completely sometime late 2009, early 2010. That's a goal for me specifically. The concept and art portions will be up to you. Obviously, the earlier the better, but there are no dead lines.
As for your work, I believe there are specific pieces in my head you are more than qualified to complete. You have talent and I'd be more than happy to have you on board.
I'd love to help, but sadly I'm only an idea man I have no experience with any of that stuff next semester I'm looking to take soem gamign class that generally covers a lot of stuff but my guess is it won't make me anymore useful sorry

Downstairs, the doctor left three different medicines in different colored capsules with instructions for giving them dvd copy. One was to bring down the fever, another a purgative, dvd copy, the third to overcome an acid condition. The germs of influenza can only exist in an acid condition dvd ripper, he explained dvd burner. He seemed to know all about influenza and said there was nothing to worry about if the fever did not go above one hundred and four degrees dvd copy. This was a light epidemic of flu and there was no danger if you avoided pneumonia .
