on that 52 min. interview video or whatever they did say they were about 5x% done with the game. They also said they have been working on it for about 4 years now. So if it took 4 years for about 50%.... then...... :-/ Hopefully the next half of the game doesnt take as long to complete. They did have to create the new engine its using and stuff so thats probably what took up a lot of time.

In the video with the VP, he says they've scrapped two previous versions of Diablo 3 that they were working on during that time. So keep that in mind.

if any of you played Half-Life, it took SOOOOOOO LOOOONG to create the new because of the new engine. what was it, 5, 6 years???
FOREVER... i predict, sadly, about 2 more yrs :(

Also he said that they have most of the character classes playable, and the levels need a lil work. Wait crap I forgot what I voted for, but it was above 55.
I think they barely have much done. I think they made the stuff in the demo first so they could show that off but apart from what we saw in the demo I doubt they have much else done.
Yup Ron Pardo did say all the classes were finished but just being polished and that act 1 is complete and the concepts for the rest of the game are set and complete so its just putting them altogether. Id say the game is 65% complete with the only thing remaining is developing content and the fine polishing.
YOU guys are dumb the game wont come out in 4 years if we pick less than 50 % ok listen i chose the 36-45 cause theyve gotta be at least close to halfway done other wie they wouldnt have annunced it and they just needa add all that extra shit like how the skills wrk the actions and everything its gunna be done by 2010 though no matter what percent you chose my guess is this game will be out mid 09 and earliest is this christmas (which is a possibility because look they even say they have most f the game done and thye just needa add some extras )

they have said on the panel that they are probably %20 done since they need to start work on the skill trees and really just finish more areas and do a ton of stuff...

I'm thinking the majority of the time they've already been working on it has been just deciding on what art style to stick with. If they are only finished with the first act and with only 2 classes ready to show off I think they are roughly 25% done currently.
Don't see the point on of this question when we really we all have no idea.
Not necessarily. We're just interpreting statements made by Blizz Reps. With these quotes from them we can be somewhat conclusive on how far along blizzard may be. It sounds like they have quite a bit done. Which is why I placed it around 55%
i love u

Rob Pardo said in his interview the other characters are playable but they're not showing them.

yah thats exactly wwhere i think it is.
SC2 has so much content done already, but they still don't have a release date.
Act 1 needs polish.
Several characters are implemented, two out of 3 are final.
Story is written.
I'd say probably about 2 more years to finish designing all the creatures, levels, getting stuff polished, and voice acting.
It's going to be a long haul, but at least we have several big names coming out this year.
I took the 36-45% option. Dont know why but most ppl took that option so I might be on to something
