I could definitely see you liking the book. You just have that unique mindset. Tell us your review of it when you're finished. I'm interested in what you have to say.
I was alot more into Ender's Shadow, than Ender's Game.
I read Ender's Game. I really liked it. Then everyone started telling me I should read Ender's Shadow. But it's difficult to imagine it gets any better than Ender's Game. It's like, I'm all thinking Ender is the greatest but then I'm told that no, Bean is the greatest.
I read Ender's Shadow before I did Ender's Game. I found Bean to be alot more interesting. Alot of the book is Bean watching, analyzing, and calculating. Not only that, but because the book is a parallel story to Ender's Game. It's really cool to just see everything from a different perspective. I wasn't a huge fan of Ender's Game, I just read it because I should have in the first place.
Well, I read Dune and I am pretty happy with it, getting the second book now.
Somehow, I want to keep my impression of it to myself. It's a good book, all I will say for now.
I do, though, want to comment that reading it after the movie was strange in some ways. The movie added some stuff in, and removed some stuff, but, most importantly, it basically gave me images, and sometimes I felt I knew way too much...

I hope it was the first one done in the 80s. The newer one sucks.
I've only ventured through the first 3 Dune books. All great reads. Fear is the mind killer.
