Get four of those bitches and hook it to a Kenwood amp, your car will have perfect sound, add a sub if you want, but it is highly discouraged from me.
Head unit - I would consider one slightly more expensive, just to get the high and low pass filters, it really cleans the sound out and reduces distortion.
Usually they are about $200 min. here is a nice one I found. Although you could easily get a different one, but I assure you, spending a little more to get the filters will make your system worth the money.
You see those boxes with the speakers I picked out? Those are crossovers. They controll frequency. You picked out a set of coaxial speakers, which are probaably good, are no where near as good as a set of compnents.
Plus, when you run an amp, you do the filtering of frequencies on the amp, not the head unit.
Also, that Kenwood is a high end Excelon model that has all the features. I picked it because my brother has one and it's got incredible SQ.
Colbalt SS's are supercharged, not turbocharged. That's not a production Cobalt.
For those of you that don't know the difference between a turbocharger and a supercharger, too bad.
Sorry bucko, but that is a production model 2008.5 Cobalt SS Turbo. The first 20 or so were produced in early February, with the rest beginning production on April 7th, dealers will start getting them April 21st.
The 2005-2007 Cobalt SS was supercharged, but not anymore. They dropped the LSJ 205 hp 195 tq motor and dropped in the LNF 260hp 260tq motor. Not to mention the huge improvements in the chassis. 1" larger brakes front and back, fronts are brembos. Chassis is tightened up so that it can pull .9G's on the skidpad, and goes 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. And the seats, ohhh the seats...
We, CSS.net, were the first ones to know that the car was coming out. Check it out http://www.cobaltss.net//

I didn't notice you had picked out component speakers, guess I'm too tired, but anyway, an amp will filter frequencies, but the head unit will also, before the sound is amplified, I still highly recommend a head unit with a high and low pass filter, I would go either with Clarion, Panasonic, or Kenwood of course, and the for the amp, my only choice would be Kenwood.
Also, for component speakers, I would consider, Infinity, and Clarion's.
These 3 speakers (including the ones you picked out) will have almost no difference, but I think that these two brands have cleaner crisper sound, just from personal experience.
But if you decide you are too lazy or don't have enough room for components I would definitely buy those other Infinity's.
The Infinity's will be the loudest, and the Clarions will have the widest frequency range, just a side note.
"You are like a rose in a great rose field. Each rose is so beautiful to me. But if one dies... I can still look at many other roses..." God of Darkness.
Me it's the Pontiac Sunfire. I just hate that car.
The 1969 Charger. For some reason, everyone thinks that car was God in the muscle age. That car in my opinion was one of the least original designs and was one of the slowest muscle cars out there.
Also the 1967 Mustang GT500. That car was actually fairly slow as well, and couldn't even handle very well, since they had the bigger motor but kept the same suspension as the GT350. The car was just so nose heavy.
And finally, every pontiac van/truck/SUV due to the fact that pontiac is supposed to be a mild to high performance car lineup. Just give them all to GMC.
I would prefer if GM went back to the old brand classifications.
Chevy = Cars/trucks, economy and performance for USA/Canada
Oldsmobile = Cars, economy and luxury (occasional performance) for USA/Canada
Pontiac = Cars, economy and performance for USA/Canada
GMC = Trucks/vans/SUV's for USA/Canada
Buick = Cars, luxury for USA/Canada
Saturn = Cars, economy for USA/Canada
Holden = Cars/Trucks, a version of Chevy for Australasia
Opel = Cars, economy and performance for Europe
Vauxhall = Cars, economy and performance for United Kingdom
Saab = Cars, luxury performance for Europe/USA

They have been available to order for about a week now.
I like the Arile atom II, with the LSJ motor. You can do the GMPP Stage 2 kit and be putting out about 220-230hp to the wheels.
And the new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is nicer than the F40 I think. Faster too. 11.3 in the quarter mile.

That's not "available." Available means that you can go buy one and drive it off the lot.
If preordering meant available, ZAP wouldn't be such a piss poor excuse for a company. I'm not explaining, don't ask.

Hey man, a couple of guys on CSS.net already have them so to me that means available.

Me it's the Pontiac Sunfire. I just hate that car.
To find the truth, you must risk everything.
I wouldn't get that color of course, probably reflex silver instead. But for the next long while, I'm perfectly happy with my GTI.
