So I bought this game because I had the N64 game of it and really enjoyed it(I was young and liked dinosaurs) and so far I am really enjoying this game. The story is good with a nice backstory, but I won't say anything about that in case people don't want it spoiled.
The one thing I will say about the game is it is extremely challenging(Or maybe I just suck) I am playing it on the easiest difficulty and do pretty well for the most part but the AI seems like it knows everything about what I'm doing and how to counter it. So far I have fought one major boss and am in the process of fighting another(I CAN'T KILL THE DAMN THING!) The first was.. what else? A T-Rex Simple to kill but if you weren't careful you were boned in one strike.
I've only played the game online once and really had fun. It would have been better if I had known where the weapons were but it is enjoyable.
Overall I'd give the game an 8.5/10. Has anyone else played it? What do you think?
The Dinosaurs are kinda like a theme for Turok. They were in the old games and they're in these now. They are more like critters. They aren't the real enemy but they get in the way and the aggressive ones attack you.
I like this game.
I don't remember the one I played on N64, but there were aliens in it.
I always call my Turok lol... just to screw around with him, but it's all good.

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.
You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.
One of them had something called the Primagen. o.O I just remember the lady going "You must stop the Primagen, Turok! At all costs!" Then I just shot dinosaurs.

Best weapon in Turok 2: The gun that hits the enemy's head and rips out the enemy's brains. Fuckin' awsome...
But yea, is it out for the Wii? If so I am so getting it!
Cerebral Bore I don't think it's in this game though >.<
Its PS3 and xBox360 only. Buying it as soon as I see it for PS3, I wasn't too much in love with the first few, but I did play them. But Jungle scenery on PS3? Wouldn't pass it up for the world, from what I've seen so far it should look awesome, and AI has been improved to actually make it worthwhile to come up with a plan in certain cases, not just run in, kill, and win.
It's definitely challenging, man. I love that it challenges me but after so many tries with some spots I just get annoyed. Like I said I was fighting a boss and I had to quit because I was cussing at my TV and people were going to bed
But with the AI, I was reading a review that was fairly correct:
The AI is either a swat team hell-bent on killing you or a bunch of roobs who like the pretty trees around them. I have seen broken AI in the past but this was bad, now I need to say you fight Dinos and Men in this game (other things too but that's the most) the Dinos were distracted as they should be by pretty colors where as the men were a wonderful bunch of clowns half the time and ruthless well trained killers the rest. Sometimes I would be flanked and covered so well there was no stopping them from getting me while others I would sit not ten feet away from them and pick off morons with the bow or run up to a group of guards with my knife and gut them all before a shot was fired despite the fact I know they saw me kill their friends
Aside frome the "Broken AI" comment I'd say that pretty accurate. Sometimes they are extremely easy and sometimes you just get boned without even knowing what hit you.
I fought him 35 times and failed, dude. And I worked him down to pretty low health each time. That's way more than 5 minutes xD I'd say about 2-3 hours >.< But anyways, I gotta go to bed.
Cerebral Bore I don't think it's in this game though >.<
Turok 2 had a lot more weapons than Turok 1 and I think celebral bore, sleeping gun, plasma gun, a couple rockets, sniper bow, and some more funky stuff is Turok 2 only. I never found use in the tranquilizer gun. It never hurt anyone nor put them to sleep. Do I use it wrong?
They should have made the game old school. Kind of like at the end of the first predator movie. You see the person using all of knifes and spears against this really high-tech alien.
Moreover, for the record, the person is a dinosaur hunter, not a freaking Alien Hunter! Lol

I have officially failed 40 times trying to kill this boss. This bastard is insanely difficult.
Edit:
Well this is definitely the best game I have played in quite a while. As far as FPS goes this is one bad ass game. You can't melee but weapon switches are pretty quick so you can pull your knife out and stab something if necessary. The use of a bow and arrow as a distance killing machine was just awsome to me. I love the bow and when I have it I can be one hell of a marksman(But for some reason snipes don't cooperate with me)

The boss I found the most difficult is the one I talked about before. It was a giant eel with tenticles and it really like to hit me. After beating him the rest of the game was easy sailing. I just want to let eveyrone know you fight a TRex twice and you feel like a bad ass both times. When you finally kill the last TRex he shoves a grenade in its eye socket and the entire top part of her jaw flies off. If you like gore, this is the game for you. Before fighting the TRex you get into a shuffle with the real antagonist, Kane. Needless to say you eventually kill him. After taking down the Trex(With no guns to start with I might add) your crew picks you up and you get the hell off the prehistoric planet.(Your crew which was reduced from about 8 to 2.(The black guy always dies...)
