i cant say i havent pirated games and movies already. But the "good" movies i watch in theaters before i "pirate" anyway, so the companies get their money.
With games its different, if i feel the company does a good job and tries to respect the customer, i do pay for it. If not (Flagship is a good example of a company i feel that wants only my money) i'll get it pirated. Lack of good customer support and bugged games are also a reason (hello EA) not to buy games from certain companies. And the extremely high prices. If they sold each games for around 35 euro (should be around 40$) and the game quality was good, people would buy.
Mmm, with video games, not really. Most video games I want are available in the U.S. Even the really obscure ones are widely available through a number of legit sources. I only have a vague understanding of the political and economic enviroment of Bosnia. Perhaps the topic starter would enlighten us on why he can't buy original copies of games in his country. That could make for some interesting conversation.

well here it goes:the country itself is divided (after war) into Federation entity and Republic of Serbs entity,2 parts of Bosnia.therefore there is no laws on the country's level.Sadly there is no (more)important laws like laws about higher education (universities and colleges) or sport and not to mention laws about PC software or piratism. How the stores(and stores are usually internet clubs or LAN rooms) get new games I do not know, (I heard sth. about Europa Online satelite transfer but I do not know anything about it),but they get them cracked and with serial numbers, and they work just fine.I know that this is illegal but what can we do?And average monthly salary here is approximately 350-400 usd and many people couldn't afford original at price of let's say 100 usd. However things are improving and in the future we might have better situation here. But the companies which create games shouldn't be worried because of us, since Bosnia has population of only 4 million. So that's about it.I don't want to say that piratism is good but what choice do we have:to play illegal copies or not to play at all???
lol imissed a good part of this thread...

Dude, I could seriously smoke your ass in an argument/debate right now but I'm not going to.
Put simply, it's the companies that outsource jobs for their own benefit, not the government to help out the Asian market.
That's all you're gonna get and you might as well give up now, ESPECIALLY if you live in California.

I'm sorry you have to subjected to what likwid thinks is funny. Horribly, horrible sorry.
For everyone here who knows how Doppel and I went at each other, Likwid is the new Doppel, only slightly less intelligent. Only very slightly though.
