I get a feeling that adventure mode isn't an "open world" where you can travel between any Acts. I feel that it's a series of map, dungeons, random events and 1-2 bosses at the end. The questing part is gone.
I guess it's similar to Loot Runs (Nephalem Rifts?) but longer.

From what we've datamined so far it's the whole game, but without the questing parts, where you can travel anywhere.

And I'm hoping that's the way it is at launch. PoE style.

Nah, d2 style.
Touche. Regardless. I think its a much needed implementation.
Oh cool thanks. Without the right context i didn't notice it at all. Looks like random events will occur in different parts of the act and every time you go somewhere and complete this random event, a new one (or a few others) will spawn in different places / acts.
I'm most excited about the class changes and the adventure modes. It hasn't been discussed on here yet, but I can't wait to see where the story goes. Hopefully RoS breathes some life into D3!

Ha. Bagstone.
Oh ya, the adventure mode stuff looks kewl.
They're likely preparing for a stable BlizzCon build. Major changes are bad at this point. But then, who knows?

That makes sense I guess, assuming they will be having one of the newest builds available for Blizzcon attendees to try.

Alabaster...even now I regret not being able to give a shot at that version of the game.
Edit: Map of Act 1 is in older news, but anyhow..
