Patch 1.0.5 Sneak Peek - Uber Bosses, Monster Powers and More!
Blizzard has posted a very quick teaser of some new features coming in patch 1.0.5, including "Infernal Machine", A way for players to battle “uber” versions of some of Sanctuary’s most nefarious bosses.
We’ll have articles in the coming days providing all the details on the upcoming patch, but we wanted to give you a sneak peek at what major features to expect.
Defensive Skill Changes
In our eternal quest to promote build diversity; we’ll be making changes to defensive skills across the board while simultaneously reducing incoming damage. The net result is a survivability buff for players, and an increase in build options as defensive abilities become less “mandatory.”
New Event: Infernal Machine
The Infernal Machine is a device that will allow level-60 players to battle “uber” versions of some of Sanctuary’s most nefarious bosses. While the rewards for defeating these bosses will be great, some assembly is required.
New System: Monster Power
Similar to the “Players 8” command in Diablo II, the Monster Power system is designed to give players more control over how challenging enemies are in each difficulty.
This and more is coming in Patch 1.0.5! Stay tuned for all the gory details.
@Hisoka dont qq when Blizzard implements our suggestions to better the game. You are acting like a two year old that asked for ice cream, you gave it to them and then they said they want a popcicle. Be happy the game is at minimum growing and becoming better
How does work today about playing in group? with a group of 4 de drops rating are high? the exp is better? I cant see anything about that
They gave the 8 player thing as just an example.
My main guess is so that you can make say act 1 as good as act 3 now, if you are sick of act 3...ect
I bet you will also be able to make everything harder for better gear.

Hmmm....what? And who the hell gave +1 to this? Was it himself? (don't know if that's possible):
"While the rewards for defeating these bosses will be great, some assembly is required."
I really hope this is real, I DO really hope the rewards won't be like: (buffed with) 5 stacks of NV with 250% MF = 20+ items lvl 63 worse than any single item lvl 59.
Did not expect in my wildest dreams that uber bosses will be implemented before 1.1. This seems to be another great patch out of nowhere. Keep listening, Blizzard!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the small death that brings total obliteration."
Is no one else worried about this? I mean...we got ubers after years of D2...and here we are getting it at patch 1.0.5! This is coming off as a last ditch effort to save the game...

PVP, assuming it is released before Diablo 4, will make it into a legendary game.

The UBER stuff could be awesome too, depending on how they've made it.
Like others, I'm shocked at how much they will have done to this game in sucha short amount of time
