I think Korea Blizzard site was suppose to be in sync with the North American one.
However, it seems like the koreans made mistake with timing.... (perhaps miscommunication)
As for video, I'm pretty sure this is the final video we'll get... seeing how demon Hunter was in the video.
This was made within the last few months from my speculation
Think it just confirms what we knew along. Monsters will be attacking as groups and be much smarter at bringing you down. They'll have significant HP, and you'll have to have your wits about you in order to kill them.
Scaling for multi-player will have to be good though. 4 players, with different spells assigned to their followers, for maximum passive/active bonuses/damage.
But, we shall wait until it's released to see how broken co-op is.
Wow, this is much cooler than I thought it would be. If there will be runes for their skills...uh, my head hurts just imagining the build combinations.
The 3 archetypal followers seem like a nice shoutout to good old D1, keeping it nice and simple while adding depth into the system.
As for the quest where you gain them, I think it would be kind of stupid to spend time training a follower you're not going to use, so I think they might be available all at once so you can spend as much time as possible training the one you want. The only other option would be that the later followers will start at higher level...which would mean that after hiring them, you'd spend like 20 minutes assigning skills and stuff which I think won't sit too well with blizzard. Since they seem like real followers and not somebody you hire, I think there won't be anyone that would ressurect them, like some merc-master similar to Greiz or something. They just could have a ressurection cooldown, the higher level, the longer cooldown.
Still curious about the swapping system though. Blizzard seems intent on giving us choices and not making any decision we make permanent and everlasting. There must be a way to swap them put it should be complicated/expensive so we just can't keep swapping them as we encounter various problematic enemies. That would kinda defeat the purpose of having to chose one which fits your character best.

A soft answer turneth away wrath. Once wrath is looking the other way, shoot it in the head!
Dang, no runes and no multiplayer followers On the plus side, they level up passively when not used which is nice (not logical but nice). The dying mechanic is just the way I wanted it to be! And so is the spacing between encountering them

1.) All your followers hang around town and don't need to be leveled up individually. You can trade out all day and they keep up with your level (or a little below).
2.) They are only slightly less expendable than original mercs it would seem, not some all powerful second champ.
3.) They auto-revive after a short time when they die.
4.) Just the equipment on the screens shown.
5.) No runes
6.) Each of them have have a gold find and a magic find ability.
Single player only... Why???? What the hell Blizzard? First of all who is actually going to play the single player? I'd rather start right away with my multiplayer character playing and trading items with people from the beginning.
I really dont care about their name. Im not going to refer to them as that in the game anyway. They will just be described as their name (scoundrel). I dont see the big deal about the word "Follower".
Single player as in when you are playing alone. On battle.net. your own game. imo.
If you play with friends, you followers will not be avaliable.
This makes sense actually...
Btw, great job on this find.
This system is awesome
and when someone enters your game they disappear or what?
So Jay Wilson says he wants the followers to feel important and not just be nameless mercenaries. You're supposed to get attached to them and want them to help you out. Until someone joins your game then they don't exist anymore. Why bother with them in the first place if I can't use them all the time? I'm not going to put all this time and effort into gearing my mercenary up and setting up my skills and his/her skills to work with mine and develop strategies to killing when I can't even use it half the time.
This is one system I'm not excited about (yet) for various gameplay reason:
1. screen clutter!!! need i say more?
2. will steal your kill = you feel less awesome
3. monsters in the game are now balanced/scaled knowing you have a follower, meaning if they die you're more vulnerable but oh well more challenge I guess but again you feel less awesome
Don't get me wrong I'm not against this system just not hyped on it. I will hold further judgement till blizzard release more official info.
Gameplanet: Will followers be used in multiplayer at all?
Boyarsky: No, they’re purely for singleplayer.
This takes care of my concern on screen clutter
"Followers won't steal your glory, says Wilson"
Sounds good but we'll see.
"They don't actually die, they just get knocked unconscious and there's a timer on that which I think is currently 15 to 20 seconds."
One of the interview says you can either revive them manually or just wait for them to automatically revive. This still doesn't answer my concern on balancing but on of Jay Wilson's interview says that you don't need them to play the game but very little reason why you wouldn’t.
Based of 3 interviews from different blizzard rep. Now that I know more how this system works, looks like it's not so bad after all.

I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.
WoW, what a huge disapointment, no followers on multiplayer? WTF. There goes one of the fun aspects of diablo 2.
Customization just went down by 40% for me, Really disapointed. If its only for single player, then thats a nice waste of resources, because people will only play single player for like hmmm 1 time?
Ho seems single players means also 1 player in game when playing multiplayer. Still i dont see the point of this. I hope they change this cause it wont be fun.
There's already the "real person" in co-op and you still want a follower? Waste of resources for 2 rings an amulet and weapon/shield or weapon/weapon... are you planning to only play an hour per week?
I'm sorry but to me, someone who still wants a follower in co-op is a weak player (and i could've said noob!).

I too like the "SP only" approach.
And I look forward to play with their skills.
Guess they'll give us many more gamestyles.
I liked even this lines from AusGamers interview:
AusGamers: So in terms of the content of the finished game, are you guys basically complete there and just balancing everything now?
Leonard: I’m not really going to answer that just now. I’ll just say, keep your eyes open over the next couple of weeks and you’ll have a better idea of where we’re at.

Some good info in there.

What is that square with locket saying "25" then???
Edit: Just say PAGE 2. after a re-look.
Gameplanet: Can followers use skill runes?
Boyarsky: No.

Expansionpack: Necromancer-alike type of follower and the addon of skillrunes.
and
Followers seems to be a great idea!

This is such a terrible decision on their part.

i really hated the idea of merc returning, but just for single seems acceptable
