A lot of artwork has recently come out from Blizzard. Today we got a nice piece of art from Brom of a Tomb Viper. We have seen these Tomb Vipers in a few screen shots such as this one (picture right). Similar to their Diablo II predecessors Tomb Viper, these Tomb Vipers got an upgrade with their sinister looking masks and now wield dual-spiked pikes. While keeping their snake bodies, this versions is more humanistic than the ones we fought in Diablo II. Hopefully Blizzard keeps revealing more of the monsters that fill Sanctuary.

PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Awesome!!!! Cant wait to get totally slaughtered by these guys

Creepy. Look more like a human torso on a serpent body than the old snake w/ arms of D2. Are they going to be mostly caster type mobs, or are there some melee variants?
So awesome! That artwork is phenomenal!! And I love how, in game, they are much more demonic looking than DII, closer to DI.
OT: Although, I still have a problem with that big blue guy and his geometry. He looks so far out of place compared to the Claw Vipers. I think it's his shoulder horns and his arms/hands. Those parts of the model just looks too simplistic in comparison to the skellies and the vipers. Also, he looks almost like he is glowing from the inside out. Perhaps a little more dynamic shadowing on him, and slightly more polygons in the arms and shoulder horns should help. The Wraith also looks like he needs a few more polygons in the hands.
Either way, I can't wait to cut those demons down to size!
Next thing you know they will announce the hiddens returning lol. I would literally crap my pants if they did. I would bang my head aginst the wall in excitement. Lets hope they keep bringing the D1 type monsters back!

Nope, the tomb vipers had a little charge attack when they were near.
The hidden were the ones that dissolved into the shadow, with the Illusion Weaver being the most dangerous one. The yellow guy that only appeared when he attacked you.

They also resemble the vipers in Diablo 1 with their plated body.
