What about site like this diablowiki and others. He have many interest information about game..
I dont undestend.. Why this project need us?
P.S. Anyway it is goood.
P.P.S. Sory for my grammar.
I THINK this is less about the information and the actual wiki and more about bringing the community together, as like you stated, there is already a Diablo Wiki that has been around for years, is just as easy to register to, and is already an established wiki.
But that's just my thought, and is in no way official. o.O
Just noticed this. (Kinda off topic though.) If your refering to editing on the forums then I believe the original Speedvision skin still allows you to edit. I've yet to have a problem editing anything of mine.
Hey there guys and gals, I'm one the (former :P) admins from WikiaDiablo, and I wanna get this cleared out ...
The Diablopedia isn't supposed to be a Dfans-only site, that's why anonymous edits are allowed in the first place lol ... And AFAIK they will be allowed until there's some serious trouble from some wannabe moron.

And about why we have the Dpedia when we already have WikiaDiablo, ya see (and this is solely my reason for the shift to this place, the other admins may have their own ;)) When I used to edit in wikia, it seemed like I was always alone, if it weren't for the other admins who spent their time there. There was a major lack of a proper editing community there (being that close to WoWWiki, one of the biggest wikis in the net, gives you a complex lol :D)
New members just seemed to join, make one or two edits and *poof* they're gone!!! Some have stayed true to the wiki but the majority were like that ... Inspite of the efforts we took (signs, private messages, header directives) no one seemed to care as much as the admins themselves. And here, we see guys just clamouring to get an edit done, even before the wiki was launched, I've seen guys talk about how great it'd be if there was a wiki right here.
Yes, the wiki IS in its initial stage so there's bound to be the novelty factor, but this place has a community that's far superior to any other I've seen. Especially about lore, and to tell ya the truth, I thought I was the only guy interested in Diablo lore before I met Atrumentis, and then this community. So far I've not been disappointed.
So, to put it simply, the Diablopedia has a bigger community than WikiaDiablo, so that's why "I" have joined.

Not trying to be mean, I really think that we'd save time copying the Diablo Wiki's info into our wiki. Is that possible?
And about copying from the WikiaDiablo, lemme say I'm not against it (it IS the internet lol :D) but to give credit to the original authors, we're trying as best to import them and not copy them outright. That way, the page history is maintained and the original author has his name on the page But smaller (but useful) pages can be copied without importin. And if you see a page created by "Mobokill" (yeah, that's me alright :D) I give you the permission to call it your own I'll have to talk with the other contributors there for the other pages, so that's all for now. Sorry ... Everyone's busy cause of the new year, new school/college/uni terms and all. But if they say so, I'll let y'all know
Cheers, Ashkeal (btw, I'm Ashkael at Diablopedia Typo lol)

I registered an account abit sceptic about this on the first glimse, if there's enough members to contribute, but heck, why be sceptic when you can be optimistic?
Exacly. And as Ferret pointed out, I think this has taken off really well. I had my doubt on how this was going to be received, but it all turned out very well I must say.

It's a little bit of both actually. Who said we can't develop the most extensive diablo wiki on the net?

O
After nearly 24 hours, I'd like to treat you to some statistics that will show you how well recieved it has been so far:
There are 101 pages that are probably legitimate content pages.
There have been a total of 14,138 page views.
There have been a total of 1,696 page edits since Diablofans Wiki was setup.
That comes to 6.01 average edits per page, and 8.34 views per edit.
There are 85 registered users.
Yeah, these are fantastic numbers. I see a few of users have realyl gone berserk these last few days, and that's excellent. Keep up the good work
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Ashkeal, It couldn't be named Diablopedia due to copyright issues of the pedia or something
At present its just the "Diablofans Wiki"
Ah ... yes, I understand, it's cause of http://www.baronsbazaar.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=13644 (still can't seem to use urls lol ^_^) huh??? Or maybe something else?? But we weren't told that the name would change ... Especially with the huge banner made for it.
Anyway, what's in a name As long as this one pwns every other one on the net, nothing matters *maniacal laughter*

Good to see this community still expanding in many different ways. Keep up the good work...

Wow, you guys have already put a lot of stuff in there. Was just drooling over the skill trees and imagining what build I'm going to do :). Maybe I'll have to see what I can add to it....I think I saw Wizard use the acid spell in one of the videos, maybe I could add the picture? Anyways awesome job everyone..keep it up.
Thanks for the advice, Faustuss, but we are already more than aware of Wikia Diablo (I was actually there when that wiki became large and established). The whole thing has been greatly discussed, I assure you.

And speaking of giving credit where credit is due, we would also like to thank the staff over at diablo.wikia.com for helping us to set up our own wiki and getting things started off on the right foot. They've been extremely willing to help us out and it's truly appreciated, so be sure to show them your support.

It's strange how you keep posting what I want to post. I hope you die in battery acid.
Not really, I love you.
Not really, but you're a good user.
Moving on, this is good news. I will surely contribute if I feel compelled to, and have the information to do so.

Also, sorry, I thought you ment the forum editing, not wiki, as there were issues with forum editing.
But this is off topic, so if you want to talk about it let's take it to PM and return this to on topic discussion.
I like our layout better than the one diii.net have, btw. And I'm sorry for double posting, I don't seem to be able to edit...?
it looks great.

There's already a large and established Diablo wiki:
http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Diablo_Wiki
Having multiple wiki's for the same game just makes the quality of each worse. It's best for everyone to come together and focus on just one.
