Tristram is like a second home to many of us who played the original Diablo.
Within this article, entitled "A Nostalgic Return to Tristram" I write about a return to the iconic, but ill-fated town of Tristram. The town that defined the world of Diablo and what we, as players of Diablo III can hope to expect when we step foot back into the town with which we grew familiar so long ago.
This is the first of many Journal entries to come of my forays into Diablo's place and setting, which hopefully serves to compliment our growing anticipation for Diablo III.
sorry for the language but this is what i said when i first saw the town and heard its background music back when i played Diablo 1 demo for the 1st time:
"FUCK!! THIS IS AMAZING!!!" (thats the literal translation to english...)
That was exactly my reaction. I said, "Wow, fuck Crusader: No Remorse. This is 100 times better! MOUSE CONTROLS HOLY CRAP."

I loved that jornal you put in there, it really is in the "Diablo" style. I can't wait to hear more from Sebastian Gray. One thing caught my mind though, when you said, "I'm currently resting at the Rising Sun Inn, which looks like the only building that managed to survive in the wake of the dark hero's passing". It confused me, I thought the Rising Sun Inn was destroyed in Diablo II when you returned to Tristram.
I think Blizzard is trying to make their games feel more epic with an orchestral sound, but in reality, it's the catchy simple songs that a player recognizes most.

Thanks!
Possible flub there with the Rising Sun Inn. The official site does mention that the only building standing is an Inn, which might actually be a new inn built upon the old site of the Rising Sun Inn. I'm sure we'll find out more about it later.
