I thought the article was pretty hilarious myself. I'm not worried about the character classes as I'm sure I'll find one that I like. I have already decided to start with the Barbarian. There is something so oddly familiar about his voice. I enjoyed playing with my Necro and I loved his voice. I will certainly miss him, but if I miss him too much I still have D2 installed on my machine. D1 is still there too. Sure, I have a little problem with the graphics; but it's certainly not enough to make me throw a tantrum. I've known since the first time I played the LOD expansion that I would buy anything Diablo that Blizzard put out. Change is inevitable and the time span between LOD and now demands an overhaul, and that is what we are getting. I don't want Diablo II all over again. Blizzard does put out a quality game! I can't wait to get it!
but in the gameplay video of diablo 3 where the action take place before the forest area?? in a dungeon very dark .
ok .
when we see the area of desert in lut golein we see beautiful contry with oasis not very dark...
ok .
soo diablo 2 have area very dark and diablo 3 too . COOL .
AND NOT ALWAYS THE SAME AREA!!!!!!!! cool .
soo this article says big shiit . ok
the witch doctor :
the necromancer with be not here, there will be a new vision and soo more fun but i prefer beeing stupid and wanted the same necromancer
the boos :
the boos is different and this is good , the boos is soo awful.
pfff if you want the same diablo 2 = diablo 3. fuck off and play diablo 2.

Well, never mind then. I have no room to talk, being unilingual and all.
I loved the demo but then when I kept reading the barrage of negativity from the HC fans I actually felt I should post my more positive views as a counterpoint.
They are not "HC", if they were "HC" then they would trust blizzard to fulfill their dreams instead of doubting them.
Thats probably the one of the funniest and most sarcastic articles I've read in a while. Imho I could give a flying shit less if the game had a level where you have to use rainbow's to lasso the prime evil's pink bunnys at their farm in georgia. I'm still buying it, and by god it would more than likely be the greatest pink bunny rainbow lassoing ever!!!
What I've seen of D3 is amazing I have NOTHING bad to say about it they have my money already lol

"D3 is too light, Diablo is supposed to be a dark game" Did you create it? Do you know exactly what the intended purpose for Diablo is? Imo, if you want a game that has a ENTIRELY dark and gloomy atmosphere...make one. It don't have the patience or know-how to create a game tailored to YOUR specifics...then shutty and deal with it cause your S.o.L unless you just don't want to buy it.
I'm mildly intoxicated! I haven't touched drugs in my entire life!
If you refer to the bread, etc, it comes from something someone said on these forums.
Basicly, if Blizzard took a slice of bread and wrote Diablo 3 on it, we'd STILL buy it.
Yes we would, I agree.
Diablo is what revolutionized the hack and slash gaming world. And it will continue to do so. Please stop complaining, we have only seen a small portion of Diablo III, less than 1%. Let blizzard do its job.
Luckmann, I like some of the links in that petition don't even work. Real professional job you people have done, lol. I like the grammar errors as well, such as, "How is should look like." Way to make an impression. I know if I was a multi-million dollar company, I would pay attention to you.
There is one thing that most consumers forget. Reguardless of who wants what. One thing remains true. Listening to fans is not the only thing companies need to do.
Let me give you an example.
What "majority" of fans came up with the nintendo wii. No one did but it was still an awesome product in the end. Not as much to non-nintendo fans in every case but the same goes for non-diablo fans.
On the diablo subject. Art is fine. and Im sure blizzard will allow more easily modified user interface this time around as well as graphical options.
As far as classes go. Again stop complaining if your favorite class isn't in the game.
Wheres the Warrior?
Wheres the Rogue?
Wheres the Sorcerror?
Where the Bard?
They evolved. Much like diablo did from diablo 1 and diablo 2. Does that mean diablo 2 is any better? in most senses YES however in some senses NO. But overall its a better game. Just like diablo 3 will be a better game than diablo 2.
My Initial (Wrong) Opinion: The Witch Doctor looks like a variation of the Necromancer that focuses on infectious diseases and fire instead of death and the art of looking like J. Mascis. Being able to cast your offensive spells on pets so their attacks are buffed with those spells' abilities seems like it could be a lot of fun. I can imagine buffing one pet with a spell that slows enemies, another pet with some form of Weaken, and a third with a damage-dealing plague to mop up.
The Internet's (Correct) Opinion: WHERE DID THE NECROMANCER GO??? I'm not buying this game. Even if all of the unannounced classes are Necromancers, it's too late. Blizzard has abandoned its true fans.
WTF??? I belive someone once said "a rose by any different name is still just as sweet." Despite how gay that quote is it fits perfectly. Just because the witch doctor doesnt have a necromancer title does NOT mean that it doesnt fill that particular space on the class list.
But honestly anyone who belives this article in any way, shape, or form, seriously needs a reality check>.>

The art-style in Diablo 3 looks more like a playable painting than a cartoon. I think the art style is very different, but certainly not inferior. At times the characters appear to be moving around on an interactive canvas....and a very violent one. It may not be quite as dark as diablo 1 or 2, but in the mix of all the blood, chaos and screams, I doubt you'll be seeing any orcs, pixies and disney characters walking around.
I don't mean to bash, but Diablo 2 spammed the same art-style throughout nearly every enviornment. It was so dark it even looked like night-time in areas that were clearly meant to take place in broad day-light. LOD's gleaming, snowy mountain-tops of Act 5 were a breath of fresh-air away from the static art direction of the same old, same old grit and darkness of every D2 act. (Yes when you think about it, act 5 had the best art direction and for the most part, the brightest and least dark art direction.)
Just take a look at what they're doing with Resident Evil 5. The game is a survival horror game (Something that Diablo isn't supposed to be in the first place.) and yet the setting is very bright and vibrant in contrast to previous resident evil games. The fact that you're fighting hordes of hell's minions in broad day-light with a rainbow in the background, creates a sort of "I'm not safe anywhere" or a "hell on earth" vibe, and adds it's own unique kind of ambience.

Read my earlier post, I have already conceded this but not because of your post but another's. He made a valid point.
I am done debating this subject.
My points still stand.
