I'm really hoping for a Diablo 3 also, but if you go to www.starcraft2.com you come to blizzards same timeline, do you think that its a hint that its Starcraft 2, or something there just to trick us?
I think it's pretty obvious that this is the image seen in the background of http://blizzard.com/images/splash/day2.jpg. You can clearly see the claws both to the left and to the right.
One of our forum members(AcidReign) did some intense research, Pretty cool if you ask me! lol

My analysis today has been VERY great. I took a deep look into today's splash screen and this is what I found:
I outlined in red the distinct marks that I could find. On the sides of the picture seem to be claws. On the top of the picture seems to be spikes. Now who has claws and spikes? Gee I don't know - compare with this picture and I think you'll see the resemblance:
The red lines match. Coincidence?
Only time will tell.
Thank you for your time.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Does anyone have the last picture? Warcraft one? We could compare it! Because I think the claws have some connection with the picture, not with the website, if tomorrow nothing appear,or instead of claws, starcraft objects appear, then the theory has no point! Assuming that tomorrow is Starcraft day in the blizzard website, probably there will be no claws!
I was just wondering what this whole Tacocraft thing is? I've heard talks about it but I've never actually asked what it was. I know it probably has the same concept as Starcraft and Warcraft but I was just wondering what kind of setting it's supposed to be etc...
It's just a lil' joke I made up when I was eating tacos for dinner one day while making a post here on Diablo3.com. As a result, however, I've thought about doing a joke flash game/movie parody about it at some point. Time will tell I suppose. But if you want some more Blizzard-related humor, you can check out this little flash movie I did a long time ago.
Previous posters were correct, all they are doing is showing the next images in the timelines as they go, and the backgrounds are merely relevant to the game they are showing. So tomorrow will be "Starcraft, 1998". And if you all will kindly direct your attention to page 2 on this thread, you will see that "Manisto" came up with the diablo background theory initially, not acid.

Have anyone found out the Warcraft Wallpaper yet used in Day 1?

If you can't see the picture here is the link http://server7.pictiger.com/img/100157/computer-games-and-screenshots/untitled-666--.jpg
That is the diablo splash in the background. If it isn't that must be some CRAZY coincidence.
It looks like grass on the left side don't you think?
I was unable to find WC 2 or orcs and humans wall paper, so WC3 wall paper is where I went.
The blades of grass don't line up with Day 1, but if you guys have keener eyes maybe something will pop out.
Dont Worry.
