I'm not saying the theories are right or wrong, I'm just ensuring that they're properly represented
I don't play like that. If I get involved, things will be labeled wrong, and if I'm willing to go as far as to say that something is 100% wrong, than it probably is.
There are always many supporting factors in any theory as these are typically necessary to create an argument in favour of said theory. I agree with pretty much every other point supporting WWI as a confirmation by Blizzard of D3, however, what I was referring to is the idea Paris was chosen as the venue due to the fan base there. I feel having the GDC in Paris may in fact be the defining factor for it being chosen as the venue.
Seriously, I don't want to have to be in here shooting silly theories down for the next few weeks. I did it for last years WWI and I'll do it again if I have to, I just don't want to have to.
This confuses me? You don't want to have to be in here? Who says you have to? I think people can have their theories and speculation as long as it's something they believe; even if they're wrong who cares? Just feels to me like you're being a killjoy. I think anyone has the possability to be right or wrong. Maybe we are all wrong? Last time I checked no one on here works for blizzard. It's fun to speculate because it brings hope; you can look all over the net the people here aren't the only ones who share in some of these theories.
But goodguy is trying to say that don't get too much hope, because he, as well as the others around here, are used to disappointment. It's just hard to believe any Diablo game annoucement is in the future, do to the lack of attention Blizzard has given the franchise in the last 4-5 years. Could 2008 be the year? Could Blizzard's WWI or BlizzCon bring an annoucement? It sure seems like it, but we've been fooled in the past - and with the very same circumstances that we are looking at today.
Two events in the one year. Well to me that seems a bit excessive if they are only planning on showing us some more SC2 and WotLK stuff.
Especially since they are already keeping in touch with the community regarding SC2's development with their weekly Q&A's.
And they have just released an bunch of new WotLK info such as the flying mount combat, and info about obtaining a Death Knight and how his rune system works.
I think they have something else to show us, something major. I can only hope that it is indeed D3 and not a new IP. I would like to see what else they can pull out of their hat, but not at the cost of D3.
It's been 7 years, you'd think they'd have been working on D3 by now. The way I see it they're only concerned about WoW, SC2 maybe because every korean will buy 15 copies, but that's really it. WoW gives them too much money and it's made them stupid like the people who actually play WoW, I hope they make D3 I just think they've been borderline terrible ever since they released WoW.
WoW gives them too much money and it's made them stupid like the people who actually play WoW,
That's a mature sentiment. [/sarcasm]
Actually, work on D3 started not too long after D2:LOD was released. However, it was brought back to the drawing board around the time that Blizzard North fell apart.
It's my opinion that just because they haven't said anything substantial about it in a long while, that doesn't mean they haven't been working on it in some capacity in the years since then.

Not really.

Highly probable.

Just because a large amount of people think something that's stupid isn't, doesn't mean its not stupid.
A wise man (me, of course) once said, if you prepare for the worst, and hope for nothing, you can never be disappointed.

Yes two events is promising for a new release...but like AcidReign explained...Diablo franchise has been neglected. To the point were a ladder reset was too much work for Blizzard.

Those before me shall quiver in my wake as I unleash the fury within!
Those who are put off by goodguy8705, just ignore him and his posts. No point arguing with someone so negative. You have all the right to believe in whatever you want.

Well i really wonder how you lead your life living with such Paranoia, always thinking of the worst before you even do something. Poor "wise" man you are..

I cannot stress this enough. Agreeing with me will make enemies for you. A lot of people can't handle my awesome "in your face" attitude and my epicly blunt honesty.

I dont know where you got Blizzcon from
Yeah, the Paris thing is basically notwithstanding anymore. Goodguy basically dispelled it all as rumor.
Mind if I help you?

It's easy for me, yes.
Here are the basic rules to shooting down a stupid rumor you and everyone else must follow to be a member of the team:
1. Be witty.
2. Be insulting.
3. Care about nothing, including peoples feelings.
4. Be right.
5. If you must be wrong, be wrong ambiguously.
If you can handle that, welcome to the team.
