Why are people constantly losing faith. It's really pissing me off. This is Blizzard we're talking about. They spend a forever and a half on every game to make it the best it can be, that's why they are the best gaming company. Relax, and keep your ears open for news, it will come.
In the meantime, let's all take the time to enjoy a good book or a walk in the park.
No. I give up.....
1. Its been wayyy too fucking long...
2. Blizzard is Warcraft/starcraft. and nothing else anymore.
3. The developers are no longer at blizzard, so even if there is a Diablo within the next few years. Blizzard is going to have to take major risk to even amount to the same level of the previous diablos.
Iv'e given up, And I hope some of you realize and stop doing this to yourself.
1. No it hasn't
2. You're so wrong. Blizz is alot more than wc/sc/dia
3. You don't really need the original developers in order to continue the saga, (although it would be for the best)
So what are you saying here? Blizzard's only risk by making Diablo3 is not finding any other banks that could hold on to so much money. And what's all this talk about evening the amounts of same levels regarding previous Diablos? If anything, they would only 'enrich the next Diablo3 and even rise it to a whole other level' ("Not Another MMO", Article 3 -Quote). I've even heard (although it was a long time ago), of soundtracks of Diablo3 being announced secretly (Yeah, I know it sounds kinda backwards), and background settings for the new world of Diablo, as well as additives to the genre of characters, etc..
If you decide on giving up, do so with a little dignity, instead of just crying it out loud in a Diablo forum, let alone the one dedicated to the future world hit that is Diablo3. And one more thing, true fandom is all about believing what's to come, and having faith in what you love to do, (let alone gaming), and hoping with all your heart that it will come true, and oh- Never give up. It's not like we're not doing anything else with our lives, it's just that this is a significant part of our lives and we don't take it for granted. You shouldn't either, my dear "fan".

Becore scII was announced you didnt see much of sc... only a patch here and their... yes they did have torunys for it though... but its a national sport in Korea.
Just because SOME of the developers left doesn't mean they wont continue it... im damn sure some of the sc developers left same with the wc developers... why would blizzard hire people to work on and i quote "THE TEAM BEHIND DIABLO, DIABLO II, AND LOD IS LOOKING FOR XXXX TO WORK ON AN UNANNOUNCED PROJECT" so what are they making cookies??

I'm really starting to buy into the Diablo MMO theory, heaven vs hell seems like a perfect match up with a Diablo MMO.
Please don't tell me you mean that

I'm not routing for a MMO, but what Blizzard game can truly fit the financial shoes of WoW? What's Blizzards next top gun? Diablo 2 has/had the highest amount of players of any Blizzard game, making it into a MMO just seems to practical and somewhat easy choice.
I don't know, but there's just no way Blizzard will leave the MMO cash cows. I doubt they are just going to leave their single MMO title die out without something to gain back those players.

Blizzard has already said they are recruiting for a next-gen MMO, hey, it could be Diablo. I can picture WoW without the cartoony graphics, more dark and gritty landscapes, and the mobs will be much easier to kill for fit the Diablo-type of game, and a bunch of other things. MMO or not, its gonna kick ass imo.

You've just answered your own question- Diablo had the highest amount of players, why? Because it has content, true investment, not fancy backgrounds and seemless icons, just another pretty outfit to promote Blizz further (If you didn't guess, I'm talking about wow). Diablo has given Blizz a total of around 18million sold copies because it's not a sleesy cheesy overrated backgrounds light show, it's a classic rpg game of top quality. (Even nowadays, when I look at other rpgs/mmos and don't know if to cry or laugh at them, because who knows how many minutes it took the developers to wrap up their 'game'). Best keep it an rpg, and although I hate to agree with it, I can't really deny something so obvious- It will be 3d and the 2d engine marvel will fade away, but at least the uniqueness will remain. I hope I've shed better light on the matter, and hope you'll feel the same (all of you).

They could have to MMOs running, but doing that could be bad for business
its possible, it could go either way. personally i would continue to play both diablo 3 and WoW. regardless i would love to see diablo as an MMO, and i think alotta people would tend to agree with me

I think a lot more Diablo fans would disagree with you
Well I agree with Boklaminamos. A Diablo MMO would be quite awesome, but hey either way is awesome. Blizzard is Awesome. You may want to get your post count up or you will just be looked at as a Troll.. but don't spam or Darkjay will have his minions eat you! =P

I agree a good book is always a great way to pass the time. I prefer a run/jog in the park though :P.

They are creating a team for their next one right now, and it may not be "soon" to us, but it sure is "soon" to them.
They've probably already started to make one...
Won't be released for a decade or so. But they have probably started making one.
they are making another
see their job hiring ..
