Eh, I've met plenty of people who hate Diablo. They say, "I don't get it. All you do is point and click, point and click." And I felt they made a pretty good point. I love the game personally. And so I will sometimes reply, "Ah, but don't you see? There are hot keys and such."
I myself have had one experience showing diablo 2 to a friend who, after about one hour of getting beat up by fallens and skeletons said the game was no fun.
all of the others loved the game, some bought it, others just got it, and some came to my house just to play/see me play. (And I wasn't even very good at it)

I've asked myself that question many times: "Why the heck do I like this gam? All I do is left-click and right-click (sure, hotkeys, but you can do everything with the mouse. Does anyone have an answer to why I like it?
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

it might be because your attracted to all the gore, the dark feeling, and the ability to slay thousands of demons. other than that, i would say its because we are men, but women play too, so idk.
Maybe you're intrigued by that cow in that little cottage in Stony Field that is animated but just stands there and manages to escape slaughter by the Carvers.
You like it cause you like seeing an item drop from a slain enemy that's in green or gold text. Um, that's why I like it lately anyway.
That's true, but it gets tiresome when you see Shadowfang drop for the tenth time. And have you also noticed that almost all set amulets are Angelic? That's how my game works

I don't think that's what makes me come back. Besides slaying thousands of demons that is.

Or I can't recall how many times I get Sigon's stuff. I still need Natalya's items rather badly. And I never get them. Ever.
Just as I never get anything of Tal Rasha's besides the Amulet... This is starting to remind me of WoW. People have been complaining since release that Blizzard has unfair loot tables when all they get is druid items from a dungeon. I think Blizzards nefarious scheme started in Diablo, and they then simply transferred the concept. Those bastards

It's just that after playing the game for so long, I don't have as much patience trying to get the items I want. I remember on battle.net where I went into a game where every monster dropped hella good stuff. Tons of unique and set items dropping all over the place. That was a long time ago, but it was great.
I got about three complete Sigon sets during my adventures. And generally I get items from four or five different sets, the rest of the sets' items just don't seem to drop.
I think the reason I go back every time is for the items. That surprise element gets me every time. As for the slaying of thousands upon thousands of enemies...well, when your character does enough damage and your attack speed is greatly enhanced, sometimes it's fun to effortlessly mow through hordes of enemies. But generally my alt key (display all items on ground) seems to work overtime.
Speaking of which, the 1,2,3 and 4 keys on my keyboard have suffered great punishment. Only gets better when you steal enough life with each blow. But in Hell, the elemental damages of cold and lightning pretty much nullify the gain in health. Sheesh

That's mainly because most enemies gain lower drain efficiencies, and some even cannot be drained at at.

They do, but the Druid in werewolf form can steal a lot of life. The life steal happens, this much I know, but the damage they deal (non-physical) is baaad.
不知道这里支持中文不?我英文实在不好,只能用拼音代替了~ 希望你们能看明白~
还有我也喜欢DIABLO 3:D
I prefer the black ones.

Thank you!
But yeah, I know a lot of people that hate Diablo, too. I've convinced a lot of people that hate the game to play it, and changed their ways.
