Not exactly new or a class in general, but I would like to see a class that uses a full set of armor. The barbarian and witch doctor are both half naked, I'm hoping it's not the kind of look all classes will take on. Looks a little lacking if that were the case.
I honestly doubt they would make a "healer" class as the whole idea of Diablo is to make it so that classes can wreck large amounts of monsters, etc by themselves. Playing with others is better than solo, but not because you require healers and tanks. Making a healer class simply wouldn't go with the diablo style.

I totally agree. Thats why i mixed out a ''healer'' with a strange kind of magician. You get ONE heal spell in a arsenal of 30 or more diferent skills =)
I think it is tottaly viable.
They said that they wouldn't make any healing classes or tank classes or anything, and that everything's just a variation of a damage dealing class still. That isn't to say that there won't be any 'Heal Other' type abilities, just that no class will ever revolve around them.
A warrior mage hybrid with one good skill tree and one evil skill tree. You can choose if your asith or a jedi kind of thing. Also a Ranger/Assassin hybrid with ranged and melee skill trees.
I would want The Horadric Knight to be the all new character. Since he uses a Blade not a sword and Mind Power enstead of magic. Looks kinda new to me.
A shapeshifter, a Demonologist would be a nice deviation from the druid some of us have come to know and love, but I don't think anything beats a good ol' Werebear. I really enjoyed using the Druid simply because of his ability to shapeshift and I'd like to see a shapeshifting devoted character in Diablo III, although i think it would be difficult to tie him into the required game classes.

"eddie from tekken 3" <--------- I lol'd
"Chuck norris" <---------- only one skillpoint: the roundhouse kick (lvl 1/1) the first demon u right click on= end of game. Everything just dies. Even sanctuary, endgame = blank screen with chuck kinda floating there scratching his beard.
I hope they make an "evil" character. Not in the sense of the Necromancer who grayed the lines between good and evil, but a pure antithesis to the Paladin. It would be cool to have a Knight-like character that uses a mixture of melee, heavy armor, and demonic powers to fight with. Kinda like Bartuc the Warlord of Blood only where you are not allied to hell but to your own thirst for power and destruction. I have no idea how they would tie a character like that into the story, but it would be interesting

I don't think that the Necromancers even skirted the lines between good and evil, their philosophy reminds me of that of the Traditional Chinese, they seek a balance I think, between good, evil, death and life and have a great respect for them all, they don't only employ the powers of death and evil, they re-animate and breathe life into the deceased and even inanimate objects just as often as they poison or fire bone spears.

Combine the Amazon and the Druid and call it a Yeoman. You would have your Bow/Crossbow skillset and a wolf you could summon that conected to your level(you have a level 24 yeoman with a level 24 wolf). Just a thought
Many Diablo players are already using this class. They gain experience by joining parties and hanging around but not killing anything. They gain items by snatching your drops or trade-scamming. All around I'm sure it's a viable class.

Sorry, but that thing was such an ass kicker in WoW.
I made my pvp mage with around 12.5k hp in season 1, but I couldn't manage to possess the power of one of them.
