I keep hearing "Paladin with 'nigma".
But Enigma is broken. We all know it. What does this have to do with the Paladin?
Overall, I wouldn't call the Paladin in D2 broken, or overpowered. Especially not pre-1.10. It was items like Enigma that broke the game, not the Paladin.

Enigma also broke the game, because allmost all builds use it, but hammerdins were a totally broken build due the powerfull capacity of avoid enemies imunities and spell resistances (both monsters and players). If the blessed hammer were weak like necromancers magic nukes or it had a resistable element, i guess hammerdin were just been a good build, not a overpowered one.

Extremely hard and expensive?????!?!?!?!?!? Far from it. While yes the absolute BEST gear is expensive and hard to obtain anyone can slap together a cheap hammerdin for pvp or pvm. Shako, nigma, maras, wizzy/hoto, HoZ..........the rest is barely worth mentioning since there so easy to get,......seriously thats not that hard to get at all

Diablo 2: being able to run through all of hell with just an enigma, hoz and hoto and still kill everything without dying. Get the same results with not wearing any runewords, only takes a little longer.
Paladins have only been superior in D2 after 1.10.. before that they were pretty much equal with everyone else. Probably even weaker at 1.09 due to hammers not working properly with auras(iirc), only in classic they were as good as pre-LOD in 1.09 which was about equal with other classes.
So about 5 years of equality with other classes and now was it 2006 or 2007 when 1.10 came 3-2 years of superiority.
Not that bad especially when you think that the whole 1.10 is messed up with overpowered runewords and such.
Yeah I agree a lot of runewords were overpowered. But when you look at the paladin is it really the runewords making him overpowered? No it just comes down to hammers doing way to much freaking damage.
All i gotz to say is PALADINs are awsome, even if they where the worst class i would find some way to own with it because thats what I do. And because they are just cool period.
For some reason I just like being the HOLY guy. Makes the game seem a little more betterer if you know what I mean. (Good vs Evil)

A monk would be nice and would be great for teamwork something I felt that Diablo 2 didn't have. You could basically play it yourself with enough healing pots. I'm not saying the game should be like Guild Wars or even WoW, it just should learn a bit. lol
MMOs are about teamwork and I would love to see some of that. I think a warrior would be good if we have a monk. It's tank, healer, wizard, and if they can a rogue because the Wizard needs a pal and that pal isn't going to a witch doctor. lol. I honestly see the Witch Doctor as misc. Something that a team doesn't really need, just nice to have.
I miss necros. I wish they would have kept nercomancers and improved them like they did with the sorc.

Diablo is not a MMO. You will be able to solo all the game without anyones help like iin D2.

I really liked Vengeance and it's bodacious +18% per level (which was doubled or effectively more than doubled when paired with conviction) weapon damage.
The class was kind of crummy in that there were so many filler skills, and only a few attacks. It also had very limited options when it came to area attacks. So a lot of potential is there for improvement.
Auras were kind of ridiculous. They all ought to give about 1/4 the benefit to allies versus what they give to the paladin himself - the defense you could stack with a Defense merc and a defense skill like frozen armor was a hella lot for example.

I dont see how pallys were always op... i mean when Diablo 2 first came out, hammerdins did not exsist. Pallys dident really have an aoe skill and took forever to do anything. As for WoW pallys for the longest time were arena healers and thats about it, its only now with the 3.02 patch that was released before WotLK that pallys were considered OP and then the next patch they were nerfed. I mean pally was almost the worst class in the game when Diablo First came out... they really were the only class lacking an AoE attack that was viable... Barbs had WW, Sorc had everything, Zons had multi strafe, lightning fury, necros had an army, nova, spear, and AoE debuffs, pally had an AoE undead dmg, and a weak spining hammer.

No. I did use jsp before I quit but not much. Most of what I had came from trades. I also have never bought anything off any site for d2

No, there was never any such announcement to confirm said information. What you heard/read is strictly rumor.

How about include them and reduce there insane damage? You make it sound like removing things previously OP is the only way to deal with them.
Shako and maras are mainly only common in newby PVE builds or maybe the restart of ladder thats about it
