i hope that the rest of the characters they reveal are new ones. i dont want to play something that already has builds set up from previous games. i want to be able to explore new builds
Shaman is too much like the Witch Doctor, elemental moves and whatnot. I think that Sepulveda is right, they should make new characters. Having the same characters with new builds would just be kind of boring to play all over again. Certain characters though should only be able to use certain types of gear, make it more worth while to find gear.

I'm personally hoping for a crossbowman that would deal heavy ranged damage but hold his own in close combat. Either that or (no wait... AND) a paladin-type character whose armor makes him look angel-y (like the Blizzcon picture http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/?rhtml=y).

And we can tie these caterpillars together to make bow strings for bows and arrows.

There was even talk of french toast, but there was none to be had
It'll be the closest thing we get to a paladin. The Guild Wars design of a paragon is probably the best character I've seen since Diablo 2's paladin. But that's just like my opinion, man.
Paragons were nifty, but I feel that they were constantly abused for their support and didn't have enough to bring to the table as far as true aggressive abilities. Cruel Spear was nice.... but by themselves, they weren't really that good. I'd love to see them take one and make it incredible though.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but Jay Wilson just said in one of his last interviews that the next class to be announced (probably at Blizzcon) will be very similar to one of the classes in Diablo II. Since the barbarian is back and the witch doctor is already somewhat similar to the necromancer, that leaves the other five...

I'm kind of hoping that they bring back some variation of the Sorceress. If they bring back the Paladin, I wouldn't be surprised... they're in a lot of games now.

Hmmm, I'm predicting the Sorceress/Sorcerer. They were pretty popular in D2 and since they've already shown a melee class and a summoning class (somewhat), then the next logical step would be a magic oriented character. Sorc's FTW.
that would be awesome.
kinda like Amazon/Druid with the skill trees Bows, Summoning, and Avoids
that would be unlikely, these 3 type of skills just get along too much.
but then again...why wouldnt they have ALREADY revealed a class like a sorceror if everyone already is guessing at it? mmmi dunno
i think Diablo needs a Champion of light more than anything, ie a Paladin
I think diablo need no more old classes.

I'll be happy no matter what happens, though.

They are saying warriors - as in the characters from Diablo II.
