They kind of fufill the typical "balance" role that is so prevalent in fantasy worlds (which druids usually have).
Yet they still have Trang-Oul, a deity we don't know for sure whether it exists or not.
I assumed Trag'Oul is more of a fabricated, mythical deity they chose to base their religion on. In other words, I don't think it's literally supposed to be a dragon, but that the dragon symbolizes something else that they put in the form of a dragon.
By the way, I'm seeing an inconsistency with the name of the dragon. In the manual it's called Trag'Oul, but on the Arreat Summit website it's Trang'Oul. I was always under the impression it was Trang though.

a giant dragon on which the world rides
its almost cult-like in my opinion
Well, all religions are cults in my opinion. So, yes, I suppose that would be an accurate assesment.
There can be no religion if the source of it is proven. Religion is faith, faith is belief in something that has not been proven... I think the world was in an undefined state where not everyone was sure what was going on, that is why all the Heaven/Hell oriented religions existed.

i would like to see all the characters from D2 in D3 but also some new ones would be really cool too.
yea, id like to see the necro as an npc, but not as a demon, since most demons can raise the dead anyways, but as a guy who was willing to help the new hero out
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
I think the idea of acid rain is kind of cool. It'd have to be really acidy though since you're constantly throwing fire, electricity, and frost at demons anyway.
Your Call to Hell spell idea reminds me of Hand of Fate in the first Lands of Lore where I giant ghostly hand would appear and pounce on your enemeies, even slap em around a bit.
i think the lion idea was gay
but the rest sounded okay....

Stars aligning fragments of the memories
Parallel truth, awaken in translucence
Sealed by this deadened song
Sinking in toneless comatose
Come and tear my skin, fear what's within
Its massive darkness filling my world
Submerged rage writing unspoken words
Amazons are trained, breed and born for battle right? yet so are Spartans, wouldnt a Spartan male be about the closest thing to a male amazon? just a thought
er after watching 300 for the first time last night, how awesome is that movie.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
i didnt mean a direct copy of a spartan rather a character prehaps somewhat modelled on one. it obviously would be called Spartan either but you would look at it and say, hmm kinda looks like a dude from 300, neato.

Maybe you should drop all that "spartan" thing. I guess this will be the time of Spartan Obsession, similar to Dinosaur Obsession a few years before, meh.
Anyway, Spartans are from Sparta, period. You can include them, but then you go Raven's way and rename them or something. And make them not look like Titan Quest which is all about Greeks.

Truer words have never been spoken
Most likely Trang-Oul refers to Sanctuary as a whole or some such.
By our definition, since we only have one proven world and no proved deities.

Ah, but the coolest spell from that games was Mists of Doom. It summoned your undead ancestors from the dead to reap your enemies.
