Didn't Cain also mention something about having other nursemaids? It was right before he took the portal out, I can't check at the moment, but I'm pretty sure.

He says, "If it isn't one nursemaid its another, hmph."
I found some info about Inarius: "When the Serephim who followed the Angel Inarius into battle were made to pay for the destruction of an infernal temple by an outraged Mephisto, many were forced into unholy servitude to the Lord of Hatred. Inariushimself was bound with tremendous chains as the wings were slowly torn from his back. Great barbed hooks were then used to stretch out his once glowing skin and his features were distorted by the vile powers of The Three."
I guess we will see Inarius in D3, but i didn't spot artwork of an angel without wings yet.
Doubt it, there are no mirrors, and it doesn't look like it's in hell, more like the cathedral basement or whatever you wanna call it. Tombs. Something.
OT: I just wanted to say that nothing makes me cringe more than Rich Knaak's awful rhetoric.
"...declared a majestic angel with robes of royal red and a shining breastplate upon which the image of an upturned sword blazed..."
"Yuck," declared a disgusted reader, "why doesn't mighty Blizzard spend some of their massive amounts of emerald green money to hire an author who doesn't write like a dysfunctional high-school student?"
What the hell are you talking about? There's nothing wrong with the sentence you quoted.
"Upturned sword blased" to a non dysfunctional reader means exactly what it says, a sword with the pummel pointed skyward. The auther chose to say it in a less directy and more literary manor. It does take some thought to read you know? At least books without cartoons in them.
I'm not 100% convinced that the picture of Imperius is in the chapel though. Looks kind of like it but ehhh, I mean I'd expect Heaven to look like that also. All stone and cathedralish. What looks like organ pipes in the back of one of the Imperius pictures though kind of makes me think its the church though. I'm not even sure those are organ pipes though.
Who knows.
I highly doubt it. I think people read way too much in the meteors shape. It looks exactly like a meteor to me, flaming chunks of rock included. Theres no hidden form in that scene. It's simply a meteor people.
Highly doubt that its just a meteor, its deff an angel of some sort thats either been casted out of heaven or left by him self and just wanted to make an enterance, the meteor is about the size of an angel, and it's if iv ever imagined a fallen angel hitting earth that would be what it looked like.
I totally agree with Daemaro's point that there's no mirrors; I don't think it's him. But wasn't he supposedly the "prime" Overlord demon? They're not exactly known for being thin and beautiful.
Inarius? I don't think he was a overlord.
Then why the hell they made a Barbarian statue standing on a head of Diablo?! The first two Diablo games featured Diablo as the main villain (I'm not counting the Lord of Destruction), why do you think he will be less important this time?
Where do you people get these ideas? You come into the thread talking about Diablo when he's not even mentioned then demand something that's not even fact.
The barbarian was on Diablo's head because Diablo is the iconic figure in the DIABLO series...
Diablo was not the main villain in D2, Baal was, and yes you have to count him. LOD was part of D2 like it or not. That's like reading 4/5ths of a book then saying the last 1/5th doesn't count.
If you want to discuss Diablo then do it in the appropriate thread, don't come in here talking about Diablo when we were'nt even discussing him.
Daemaro stop saying everything he says is speculation and is unimportant (I know you will say you never said that) because your theory is the same thing, speculations. Even more less likely with the author of that book saying the sword is not in the right direction ( you said that blizzard prolly made a mistake, ohoho) then that statue (you are now saying it means nothing). You could be right, but this is a thread about your theory so please, accept people saying thing that go against it.
Did all of you miss the part where you came into the thread discussing Imperius and just started ranting about Diablo for no reason?
I don't care if he wants to speculate, that's fine and dandy, do it in the right thread. There was absolutely no reason for this post.
Inarius and Imperius could make an appearance in the game, but we know for sure that Diablo is the main villain...
Except to try to say "I'm right and you're wrong." Which if any of you would use a little imagination then you could tell Diablo being in the game doesn't necessarily mean he would be the final boss.

Also if Imperius is in the game, I have thought for a while it would be in a expansion, just like Baal was the boss of LOD.
Now PLEASE stop spamming this thread with Diablo (the character) stuff as it had nothing to do with Imperius being or not being in the game.
If you want to talk to me more about this then PM me as to avoid spam and I will get back to you ASAP.
And the others ment not to take your theory so serious and rub it in everyones face.
Daemaro takes his idea so seriously because its more likely to be right than anything else. I mean honestly, think about it, who else could that angel be?
You guys are arguing like you haven't learned anything about debating in your life. The first rule is a person is going to stand behind what they believe until proven otherwise. That being said, telling Daemaro hes wrong because you think such-n-such is not a good argument. You have to have some sort of hard evidence for why he might be wrong. And from personal experience, Daemaro takes it well. I was the first to intelligently argue the "upturned sword" deal. Daemaro didn't come back with shots at me saying I'm wrong because he thinks its an upturned sword. Instead, he pointed out that I was the first to put some real thought and research into it. He took my argument for what it was rather than just saying I was wrong. Whether I changed his mind or not (I didn't, but I wasn't trying to, I just don't see that as an upturned sword. I do think its Imperius) isn't important. The fact that he took my argument into consideration, is.
I happened to read through the past couple pages and it was all about if diablo is in the game and will he be the last boss. First of all, off topic is off topic, it doesn't matter if it was just for a few posts. Secondly, Daemaro was right when he pointed out that Baal was the true villain in D2. Sure, diablo started out as the last boss, as he may well be the same in D3, but that doesn't mean it will stay that way.
That being said, telling Daemaro hes wrong because you think such-n-such is not a good argument.
Thank you for your kind words.
I'm glad you realize that I don't care if I'm wrong or not. It's just speculation, I realize that.
What I don't understand is why people came into this thread to say Diablo will 100% be the last boss and my speculation is less than theirs for some reason.
I may be wrong, it really doesn't matter to me, talking about things is what I like to do but I just can't see the sense in someone coming in here to tell me I'm wrong based on nothing more than Diablo will be in the game.
If the shoe was on the other foot I wouldn't have came into the Diablo thread and said
"Yep Imperius was proved to be in the game, so Diablo may be there but he won't be the main boss."
I'm sorry if I gave anyone the impression your opinions or speculation was any less than mine, that was not my intention. I just don't see why Diablo is being talked about in this thread just because he's on a statue.
Anyway hopefully now we can return to the topic at hand.

Yeah knew it was something like that.
He never needed nursemaids in D1 and D2, so maybe he does know he's going to die soon.
Could it be him ?
Doubt it, there are no mirrors, and it doesn't look like it's in hell, more like the cathedral basement or whatever you wanna call it. Tombs. Something.
Well, he was tortured for years.. but yea, no mirrors.

No... no we don't.
We know Diablo will be in the game.

The statue says the barbarian is standing on the head of Diablo, so the face in the cinematic is Diablo.
