My Book of Cain arrived Yesterday. I pre-ordered from the publisher while at BlizzCon. Their website has said the same release date all along, while amazon and others were delaying. www.insighteditions.com
It said it had shipped as of two weeks ago but wasn't sure given everyone else's dates, so i bit my tongue till it showed.
My own order is still showing a delivery time anytime between today and January 13...I made my pre-order last week so that may make a difference. Got my fingers crossed, but it's not a Christmas present so I've got the "Sin War" series to re-read in the meantime for my lore fix.

If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
People should add the whole scan in the dfans wiki.
Eventually all the information will be aggregated in there, though it may take some time. Given current trends, it will take exactly as long as it will take for me to finish reading it and add it all

So I called up my local bookstore and they claimed Book of Cain wasn't being released until January 10th or 13th. Can anyone verify this? I thought it was being released this month. =[

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
All in the Forger's wake is left bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the dark Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Where do you live? Amazon.ca says it isn't released yet and doesn't ship until Jan 10, 2012, so I'm wondering if Canada is getting it a month later for some reason.

I live in good ol' US of A, Jael. New Hampshire, specifically. I'll be calling around to other book stores and see what they have to say on the subject.

Proper adjustments made, The Chronicler. It's been a while since I've posted much around here; I don't pay attention to such petty things as titles and... and names. Pft.

Just the basic stuff from the sin war trilogy. It reveals the general area of their base and talks about how they were founded by rathma, but nothing detailed.
Got it yesterday and finsihed it then as well. I'll be adding as much of this info as possible tonight, though keep in mind it is Christmas
Overall I think it's very good. It really ties together all the loose pieces, and there are key details revealed throughout it for those of us who prefer to delve a little deeper into the Diablo lore. Couple of things:
Yaerius, the "founder" of the Zakarum, is speculated to have been Uldyssian or some remnant of him.
Baal wanted to corrupt the Worldstone not to destroy the barriers between the world, but to corrupt humanity through it. A shortcut to getting humanity on Hell's side so to speak. He needed his soulstone for this, which explains why he sought it out in D2.
Baal's soulstone merged with the Worldstone when he corrupted it. It is derstroyed.
The Hellforge was not needed to destroy the soulstones, but it was the only place that was guaranteed to do it. So going there was more of a safe bet than anything else (think of it like this: if you want something destroyed, dropping a nuke on it is the safest way to know it will work). The Hellforge is also in Baal's realm.
The relationship between the Three is hinted at, and it's indicated that they are certainly not buddy-buddies.
Azmodan and Belial rebelled not because the Three wanted to break the truce (which was stated at the Blizzcon panel) but because they didn't think humanity was all that powerful. So when the Three started focusing on Sanctuary and stopped fighting, they were pissed. This also explains why they banished the Three to Sanctuary, since they did not recognize the potential inherent in humanity, and the danger of sending the Three there.
Diablo assumed his true demonic form beneath Travincal. No "he was possessing a human and wasn't in his true form", no "his body is still in hell", no "only their spirits were banished" or something along those lines. True. Form.
Tal Rasha was the leader of the Horadrim. They were originally very few, perhaps a dozen.
Zoltun Kulle created the Black Soulstone. Why and how is a little unclear.
Vasily, brother of Bul-Kathos, was the first druid.
Mage clans are expanded. Vizjerei were conjurers, Ennead focused on changing the world and the Ammuit on twisting reality.
There's lots more, but this is a good part at least

Alright, fixed all lore issues in Mephisto, Duriel and Andariel, made minor corrections in Diablo and Baal (will have to revisit those), and added some tidbits about the Vizjerei etc. This is going to take some time, so anyone who has a book and want's to help out, feel free to go nuts.

I'm ashamed I haven't finished mine. I feel like I need to wash my hands everytime I touch it though and possibly when I turn a page, so it gets cumbersome.
It's great so far though. Really enjoying reading about the Angiris Council. Especially Imperius.

Some of it is apparently written after you have killed skeleton king. Spoiler
Spoiler .........it mentions deckard and leah having met the stranger and Cain references the comet hitting the monastery.
Lots of Angel info. Including their parts of heaven and named items each of angris council members have.
Inarius was apparently a leautenant or something under tyrael. I had thought he had been part of angris council.
Lots of regional information on different areas.
Details of mage clan wars.
Explain what pandemonium fortress is. It isn't in hell.
Really good accounting of all the plots up to this point. Very in character.
Anyways, I called up Books-a-Million, and they don't even have the book on their radar! What the hell, am I going to be forced to order it via Amazon?
