I apologize if I am just stating the obvious or something redundant but the 'three headed beast' is the one on the Diablo III logo/cover. Same demon/skull red face with pseudo-horns from its chin and the glowing spot on the forehead where the soulstone used to be.

Im thinking this is Diablo....
Whether it is Diablo or not I believe it is pretty safe to assume that whatever the three headed thing is....is the main boss, because it is definitely the same demon on the official D3 logo. If you look at the trend...whatever was on the logo was the final boss.
I dont think this new demon is Diablo, considering in Diablo 2 you destryoed his soulstone along with his 3 brothers. If you read cains journal on the website it says that when the world soul stone was destroyed it could have brought a new evil. also this new evil came from the sky so there is no way of knowing if this is Diablo in fact.:)

my theory :
hell wanted the nephalems (demons + angels ex: inarius + lilith...:Dl) to beat heaven. but they were no good with the world stone in the way which was i think installed by inarius (who created sanctuary). and inarius is also kind of evil as he wants the nephalems for himself and he cud even go against heaven for it.
so the three primes make a plan to come to sanctuary and appear they were banished. belial and the other guy take over hell for safekeeping until primes return. the primes intend to corrupt the worldstone to convert nephalems for hell's purposes. they manage to corrupt the stone but tyrael realises and destroys it.
meanwhile in hell belial and the other guy (cant remeber his name :confused:) cannot stay in peace and start a civil war mayb to take control of hell or mayb show a sign of weakness to the guys watching from heaven (hadriel )
but the primes com back (reviving for 20 years) and take over hell and attack sanctuary with full force this time. and finally heavens (or inarius) reveal themselves (probably the other angel) in defence of the sanctuary
Also considering that the evils are more spirits than anything their physical bodies are probably not limited in any way. So in essense diablo doesnt look a certain way, he is master of terror and he probably creates his physical form in which he beleives best interprets it (and obviously to the limites of the artists imagination)
I don't really care, I just want to see Mephisto again. I was always more interested in him than the others.

They are 3 brothers. And the demon looks like a combo of all 3. Look at the head, Baal's horns, Diablo's color and frontal face, Mephisto's skeletal bone structure...

They were spawned from the Abyss. Kind of confusing...but demons/angels do not have sex to reproduce...yet they do sometimes...we know this because Lilith and Lucion where the offspring of Mephisto...but we have no record of who the mother was (if there even was one) Then on the other hand we know that prime evil engeries in the Abyss just formed the Prime Evils without a mother or father.

And in some sensible way the meteorite jogged him back to life or whatever..

I believe, since the game title IS Diablo III, that Diablo will certanly make appearence. As for the demon from the trailer, it could be anyone. It could be Azmodan or Belial or one of the Prime Evils or someone totally new. I believe that it is Diablo in the trailer, but I will not say this for sure.
Concerning the meteor, I don't think that's Tyrael or any Angel. Since the destruction of the Worldstone, the barriers between the worlds have shattered, or at least Tyrael said so. This would be a perfect chance for Diablo to make his new appearence in Sanctuary. Despite the fact the meteor had fallen from the skies, it doesn't need to be an Angel at all. Perhaps Diablo manifested himself in the universe, and fallen to the same place where he was defeated for the first time.
Another proof of the meteor not being an Angel is the scene from the trailer, with two armored men. Look at the mountain side where the meteor crashed. It is totally ruined by its impact. Not to mention the red lightning from the smoke. That's very 'angelic', don't you think. This could also mean that there are more than one meteors. In the trailer you can see the armies of Hell marching, possibly away from the crash scene.

There are indeed two mouths. But what if those 'mouths' are not on his shoulders at all. Remember Diablo in D2? How he charged at you on all fours? Maybe thats what he's doing here. Maybe those mouths are on his knees, serving some kind of purpose?

That suits me... I didn't think about that... Still, there are the mouths of Diablo (or some misterious demon)....
I guess we will have to wait for the game to come out, but until then we can speculate anything. I know that in the end Blizzard will prove that we were all wrong!

Maybe its a three headed baal mephisto and diablo all mixed together. but i dont belive Diablo or his home boys are going to be in this
