Is anyone else not digging Diablo's new look? He looks more like a Zerg instead of his traditional Devil appearance.
So far I really like it, I don't see how people are honestly saying they think the old diablo looks better. And for all we know that could be a completely different evil.
They will be keeping the brighter color in the game, but remember, the build is hardly even in Alpha stages. The graphics will be updated a good bit by the time of release. I imagine the textures will look much sharper and more detailed by release to add to the foreboding mood. Just my opinion though.
The textures of StarCraft 2 have improved a lot; I imagine the same will happen to Diablo III. With the way Blizzard is talking about colors, and what they want to do with, it makes me want to wait, and see what they can do before I saw "This isn't gothic enough.".. Same with character designs.
You know, that demon that we assume is Diablo might actually be Belial or Azmodan.
A while ago I suggested on these forums that Belial should have two (or more) heads, because he is the Lord of Lies. I said that each head should say something different, so you never know which head is lying and which isn't.
This demon seems to have three heads (or at least three mouths), so it might be Belial.
Then again, it could just be an upgraded version of Diablo, as is assumed.
Or, the three heads could be a combination of the Three Prime Evils, as someone else theorised a while ago.
But nah, I actually like the artwork for the demon. Somehow, this actually instilled fear into me, while his other versions haven't.

Have you no memory of the creation of diablo? diablo 1 for instance (he had a soul shard in his head) he died and the wanderer shuved it in his head to control the power and he ended up turning into diablo so i'm 100% sure diablo should have a soul shard in his head;)
If it's Diablo, I like it. It's his true form. His most powerful form. The two extra heads look sweet and terrifying. He should be more of a challenge this time. I just wonder if the Lesser and the rest of the Prime Evils have changed appearances...

He assumed his true form in Diablo II.
Mephisto commands him to assume his true form, the proceeds to command him to unleash his terror into Hell!!!!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
As for the game, it should be way darker, I noticed this as soon as I saw the videos released...it shouldn't be that lit and bright, since LoD was like...all dark and Gothic, they should totally stick to that schema.
Hey...just wanted to start a thread to talk about theories of what the demon was in the end of the trailer.
I have a pretty strong feeling that this is our main bad guy. If you compare his face with the one that is on the Diablo 3 logo on the splash page (or the one that is on the banner of diablofans )...they are identical...
So could this be a newly resurrected Diablo?
Could it be the three brothers united?
Maybe a new demon that was inside the comet?
If Diablo was called "Project Hydra"...and we know this guy has three heads...maybe this is the Hydra?
Maybe its a lesser evil we've never seen who is now made powerful for some reason?
Note: The Prime Evils are beigns who corrupt people, as in they take form of a human shell or such, meaning that their 'true form' as we thought them to be, isn't nessacaringly their 'true form' probally a pre-stage of it.

Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
Of course, that way the story would be a lot more interesting.
Face it Belial and Azmodan are just minor evils like Andariel and Duriel, they don't deserve a very big place in the game such as Diablo.
Fuck you, I'm a dragon.
They control hell because the Three let them control hell, just a reminding.
I give you my thoughts on it.
It's clearly not the old Diablo.
my guess? Baal, Diablo and Mephisto join as one Super being to once again reign over our world.
It is up to you to Destroy "UBER" Diabaalphisto
Anyone else have thoughts on this matter?
can't wait to play it.
