if ur one of those u actively follow the storyline as u play the game, then youll prbly see Leah alot. putting a character in the trailer in that kinda way suggests that they will be a huge part of the storyline.
um so if thats the daughter why is she just now comeing in to paly and when did cain ever have a lover that was nave in D2 or ant thing why are they just bringing it up now there has to be a snage like cain is going to die or he is turning evil and she is the only one who knows wahts going on with him and she is trying to keep his wisdom and truths of the world alive!!! did any one think about that?
You don't think you will look very different in 20 years time?
I know I will because in 20 years I am getting near my fifties.
Well even if it was 1 year after the last game he would still look different... unless he want's they just put the old model there with the same graphics
Maybe she's the narrator of D3 tale, like Marius was for D2. Or maybe they're aiming for a damsel in distress story. I don't think she's Cain's daughter, they really have nothing in common.
Though I do not think that she is his daughter, I do think that she is related or is his apprentice. Perhaps she has some horadrim blood within her.
Though I tell no one, Diablo's terror has left its mark upon me aswell. I wake in the night, suffering unholy visions of the destruction visited upon my home, the slaughter of the helpless villagers, and the echoes of dark acts being perpetrated beneath the earth. I hope that these will pass in time, but I fear that I will never escape them.
See? They are both plagued by some terrible nightmares and or visions that were brought on by Diablo.
She could be cain's grandaughter, but if you look carefully you can see she has some connection with the DEMON in the teaser because you notice that she felt something was wrong.
I have this theory that the majority of the people who've posted here have said either of the 3 following things, without backing them up at all, besides the "I think that":
Cain's apprentice, (grand-)daughter or *shudder* lover-thing.
The theory I'll keep on believing is that the girl (who's most likely this "Leah") is Adria's daughter. Why? She seemingly has the age for it, seemed schooled in the arts of a witch, and Adria - besides Cain - were probably the only survivors of Tristram after our hero re-emerged from the Cathedral. She's likely Cain's apprentice too, or she's just working with him, or met him when he returned to New Tristram.
Again; more thought-through theories please.

It has been said... that in the end of all things... we would find a new beginning. But as the shadow once again crawls across our world... and the stench of terror drifts on a bitter wind... the people pray for strength and guidance. They should pray for the mercy of a swift death... for I've seen what the darkness hides!
... I don't think it's safe here.
Hoping for Pink Chain Lightning in D3!

it would be sweet if she is actually an Amazon or Rogue class, but more importantly Cain is so old that he doesn't know what is going on so Leah kills and protects him and he just stumbles around without a care in the world.
Yeah it'd suck if Cain has been reduced to a senile old man but I can see it happening. Perhaps D3 will play out telling the story of multiple heroes who are helping one another and Leah plays the roll of a sorceress of sorts.
During the Intro, shes narrating, and at the end when diablo (if it is diablo) appears, she grasps her heart, or does she...
She is wearing a necklace, cant quite make out what it is, so heres my off the wall theory..
Lets say youre evil, and you know people are out to end you, would you try to "contain" yourself in a host or shell as most people have said, or would you try and leave behind traces of your existence (preserving the their souls) in hopes of the radiance of the "item" drawing someone stupid enough close to it so it can inhabit them. Perhaps the necklace she wears was a keepsake given down to her from someone in the previous games, and has some connection with a previous soulstone, or an "item" a Prime Evil cursed just incase things didnt work out. This item didnt corrupt the one who gave it to her because they didnt own it long enough or w/e, and her being magical in some way, she can keep the evil inside at bay so it cant turn her into a host for a Prime Evil. Being that she can keep the evil at bay, instead of corrupting her, she feels a connection with the Prime Evils, knowing every step they take before they take it. Hence, concluding the theory most people have, that she will follow you around throughout the game, doing exactly as Cain did in the previous series, Helping you prevent further damage and destroying the Prime Evils once again. For any Harry Potter fans, think of this concept of Voldemort preserving himself in numerous items so he cant actually die.
P.S. This could also play out the reason the game is so colorful, before any Prime Evils have a chance to darken sanctuary once again, she is there to help you stop them before its too late...
Play off this, Flame it, either way, it would make a great story, and a smooth flowing, anticipating, and action packed game, if you had a "psychic" helping you the whole way.

This is Leah, both Cain's nurse maid and his apprentice. He knows he is not long for this world and so he teaches Leah as much as he can. As far as her and the necklace, I think we're either reading too much into this or she is the daughter of someone who died in the previous games and there's a picture or something in that necklace. Perhaps she came to Tristram not too long ago and didn't know about where Diablo's prison was. Or it could be the fact that after the world stone was destroyed and nothing happened she thought it might be safe again.
How do you guys know that this is the nurse maid Cain griped about in the video? Seriously. You guys are fucking pulling shit out of your ass. Blizzard said there would be many towns and villages, I doubt this particular character is the SINGLE ONE mentioned in the video. I doubt it's Cain's daughter, as she looks young, late teens early to mid twenties, meaning, Cain got sexed up right after Baal died.
Improbable. Just wait and see.

We beleive this because of what we know. Don't bitch about how we're just pulling these concepts out of our asses when we're simply theorizing. If you don't like it then close your eyes and pretend it's a bad dream.

Who knows what part she'll really play.
Thats funny, I am picturing the scene from south park when Cartman's mom runs down to him with a bed pan on the WoW episode.
