Blizzard would probably publish a piece of the story line, where players start, what happened etc., so any replies to this thread would only be for our communing pleasures. I doubt that they'de really take up on anything we could add about the storyline. Anyway, I haven't read the books( they'll come in like 50 days- FRAK), but the storyline would probably start from where the last part ended, haha, no seriously I think it would probably be before the 2 games and expansions started. We've seen it before- Star Wars, Warcraft. I just got an interesting idea for a thread: (I would start it myself if I had enough time). How about if the character became possessed with a soulstone like at the end of Diablo 1( none specific) after a certain chapter and could continue playing as Diablo or some other dude. The skills could be dualized (I really miss Forgotten Realms, Baldur's,Icewind, not Neverwinter) and continue using the original skills , the new demon's skills or maybe they could be transformed/modified and and and..........;) . Thasador or some of you more experienced ones should probably read this.
Maybe the storyline could continue from the end of D1 - you know, Tristram isn't still turned to ashes. (Griswold would still be dead though- he seems kinda gay). The character turns to Diablo (doesn't he ever die?!) and realises he's going to become the almighty demon once again and goes on a journey to redeem and save his soul (the rest of the world's souls too -OF COURSE) . And then something else happens, I got really bored writing this dkslkdasdijdaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidioloo and such

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees
Most of the spelling was good. And whenever I've talked to people who are high, it takes eternity to decipher what they're talking about. I bet he was just hyper.
I've heard that D3 will start off in heaven, and also that they finished D3 at blizzard north like 3 years ago but it wasnt fun so they started over

No matter how far you've come in life, every step you take can decide your fate, and if your future is bad, only you can change it, for even if a step to the left instead of a step to the right can make your day better, then I'd say that's the best step to take.
No, i got the info online at some web site, also if you dont believe me then go to the job listing site at blizzard.com and at the top it should say that they are looking for landscape artists for the diablo team

I wasnt debating the fact that they may have a Diablo 3 game under construction (btw, on the blizzard website it says "Secret Project" not Diablo)
I was speaking about this...

Who said that Diablo 3 will start in heaven? who said that they made it 3 years ago?
And what do they mean by start in Heaven? Like, you'll see a cinematic taking place in Heaven? Or, you'll actually start fighting in Heaven? Could people possibly be any more vague? I really need to finish The Veiled Prophet so we can get the storyline conjecture going again.
What I believe is that he transformed into what he feared the most. Even as the Lord Of Terror he has fear, and his would be truly the worst to imagine. If you can, think of the worst thing you fear and hate the absolute most, then imagine it being right where you are. All around you and inside you, I myself would find that quite disturbing.
I believe that is why he fled in such a way.

Diablo lore may of been influenced by Judeo-Christian myths but it doesn't mean that it follows it perfectly, the lore is also related to many pagan religions as well. Then there is the lore which is half way between.... annoying "Grey areas".
Satan and Lucifer are different. Lucifer is only mentioned once in the King James bible and he is mentioned as "son of the morning", his name also translates into "to bear light" or something similar. I read somewhere else that the name "Lucifer" referred to a Babylonian King but it was mistranslated and over the centuries became synonymous with Satan. And I read somewhere else that Lucifer represented Venus, the morning star. Whereas Satan is properly identified and recognized many times in the bible the name "Lucifer" isn't really explained that well. Too many Grey areas
I'm not entirely sure but I think that Diablo translates into "Devil" not "The Devil" meaning Satan.
Diabl=devil. Lucifer was a strong angel and stronger than most. He tried to be like God then God got angry and banished him. He then become the Devil.

I never understood that. God loves me, (allegedly) but he doesn't want me to be like him. It defies all logic, to love me but keep me suppressed.
Anyways, yea. Lucifer ultimately translates to Diablo. But what if Lucifer was the father of the Three? Think about it. Diablo, Mephisto, Baal, all are names for Devil from different parts of the world. Lucifer could be the father, that somehow was locked away and suddenly escaped his prison. Just a thought.

Very few things will make me upset with D3, but a corrupt Tyrael and/or a father to the Three are the two things I cannot accept. I don't want a christian interpretation of this game, I do not want God to exist in it, and I don't want the angels to be right and the demons to be wrong. I want them to be two massive forces in an eternal conflict. They can be inspired from our religions, but they shouldn't be from our religion.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

Why cant you accept that. A father of the three seems prerty logical. The place tyreal left you in at the end of lod seems like he is the bad guy. I mean Tyreal could be lieing to you. the portal he made could be a portal to hell where Hordes of demosn could be waiting to ripe you apart and feast on you. Right now their are alot of things that could happen in dianblo3.

There is nothing strange in that. A parent loves his child but he wants his child to be what the child wants, not what the parent wants to forge...
A good parent teaches the child the best he can, and then lets the child go. Not baby the child and keep him in their basement where they are in the dark (without knowledge) and where they will remain. Also, a good parent wants their son or daughter to one day be the same as them, parents. I might be making your point for you from your perspective, but I remain true to my belief.

God doesn't have to exist, and neither are right. Humans are in the middle, mostly good but still bad, and we are the right ones. Heaven would destroy us, and Hell would enslave us, and both would use us against the other. Its kinda like AvP eh? We're stuck in the middle. And suggesting there is a father of the three brothers would give a good twist as to how they can possibly come back.
