I havent seen a thread about new possible character's you could use for the next game. So let the speculation begin.
Everyone knows the characters you could choose from in Diablo 2 and it's expansion. My least favorite was the Druid and most favorite was the Paladin. All the characters in the game did have a few great points and some low points on them.
A great new charcter to add to this game is an Armorer. Pretty much like the warrior out of Diablo (repair attribute) but learn a great many spells to forge magical armor and wepons. This character could be used in a group to fit and forge magical armor and wepons to charcters that don't have a high strength or dexterity level. So that plate mail you have been trying to equip to the sorceress might finally fit at a level 25. In additon to these attributes the character you also be able to socket his own items but not with just the standard amount 1-6. I always thought that shields and crowns should have had a higher socketed rate say at least 10 for crowns and 20 for shields.
Now all characters have to have a downfall and his or hers would have to be protection agianst magic damage. For this the character would be able to equip a robe or a cape to thier armor to defend agianst this.
A new Idea for merchants would be a rune master. I liked the idea of the runes and gems for the last game but the formulas and hordric cube kept me from realy utilizing the stuff. Granted I got on the internet and looked up all the recipes. The rune master would give you valuable information and missions on finding runes and the order you could put them in to make wepons that did a good, great, and outstanding amount of damage.
Well, Those are just a few ideas.
