One Huge thing i thought of is if you get an awesome drop, you dont have to do anything more than put it in your stash to have it safe (in d2 you lost your onhand and stashed items). Which just made me think.. there will still be characters made just for muling purposes, "Mules" were very important as you could not imaging what some packrats kept.. most people had like 1-3 full accounts of mules, and now we have a universal stash, i can see people in need to buy more game copys just to provide the space needed for HC muling, with the 10 character limit, im surprised i have not seen this mentioned at all on the official site.
-You should play up and through inferno level to know ALL of what your up against.
-You should always try for gear to add to your maximum Health/Life Value
- Never let your health under half way, if 1 hit can take you 50% down (even if its 2 hits from 2 enemys doing 25% each) then you should really go back and grind a little more from the previous quest/act or wherever you prefer, always better safe than sorry.
-If possible, reconfigure your windows key (lol, i gotta laugh at this one)
-always grind a difficulty until it gets hard to level up, this will make your entrance to nightmare/hell/infernal much easyer.. only rush if your truly have faith in yourself or just dont care
Im sure the rune system will definately play a large role also in hardcore and theres so much more tips i could post but i want to hear some other players tips, as i DO NOT have Beta and hardly know any game content, so please feel freee to correct anything that you think does not comply with D3. I tried to post only things that i thought would probably correct to d3 also. Thanks.

if it gets really difficult later, gotta take it extra slow. get get a few "ohshit" passive skills and approach each mob back with the cooldowns ready(especially those that can work every 90 second that prevent you from dying). its a slow process but you will likely never die if you take it slow.
thanks faithful yes sometimes on squishy sorcs in HC hell mf, i would click near her foot to bare move a fuzz twice a second, helped lots to try to get just 1 or 2 to come from a mob seperated or even sometimes prevent 2 mobs from coming at same time
1. Never play in dangeroes zones tired or drunk. If you really want to play while tired or drunk, go magic find in normal mode or something like that, maybe make a new character
2. Make several characters before entering next difficulty (nightmare, hell, inferno). If you have a handful of heroes stacked up, it wont hurt that much when you lose one. Having only one character and losing it at high level will really hurt.
3. There is no "save & exit" in Diablo 3, so you have to actually think about your positioning, watch your hp etc, all the time.
4. Try to not allow too much distraction when entering a very hard area. Turning off your cell phone for a while when trying Diablo@Inferno for the first time would be a wise choice
LOL OMG I love the first thing you said here, (1.) i lost so many characters from being over tired or drunk, this should be number 1 tip in ths topic. learning the hard way that those are times for low lvl mfing the hard way, i just helped low levels with rushes or baal runs or what not , being kind got me pked many times BTW
Yeah, do not underestimate those "elite" mobs on normal. So if you are tired, go MF on norm, right? i remember i wiped my necr in d2, when I did this thing, just a casual mephisto run on NM with my 82 necr, i was tired and all mobs where very easy to kill for me
next thing I know - i am dead, didnt notice that "elite" mob who explodes when it gets killed -__-
so I guess my advice would be - always watch out for elite mobs, pay attention even if you are tired
