"Hmm, Amn, my home." Sir Elric said as he walked with Balgarath. "It has been over 3 years since I was last home. I wonder how much it has changed in that time. My son Jaynis, will be beginning his initiation into the Order of the Radiant Heart soon, and my daughter Kiara, she will be well on her way to becoming a priestess of Helm by now"
"And what of your wife?" Balgarath asked.
"My dear Delecia, I fear my being a Paladin of Torm, weighs heavy on her, but she knows what it is to be a Paladin, her honoured father was one as well" Sir Elric replied.
"Have you ever considered leaving the service of Torm, Sir Elric? asked Balgarath.
"To leave Torm's service would be to fail him, and I can not do it, but if I was to say I had not thought of it I would be lying, but I can not leave his service, no" Sir Elric said as he stared at his sword in his hand. "Torm has saved my life on more occasions than I can remember, I own him my life, Delecia, knows this, and is thankful, though she does wish my duties did not keep me away so much, such is the life of a Paladin"

Zubin stared at the scenery for a minute while walking and then gave some surprised looks to Venex and Thufir. ''This place isn't like what i expected it to be'' he said. He drove closer to Venex and walked by his side. ''Umm.. So you're here to get some necromancer training eh?'' he whispered to Venex. He took a look around and saw Thufir walking with his head bent down as if he was thinking something. He once again turned to Venex and said : ''So at last we are here. Actually i was thinking if i could know where we can have our meal of the day.''. Venex turned to him and then looked around. He said : ''I'm new here as well Zubin''. Zubin stared at Venex and then started to walk quietly as if nothing had happened.

''May the Gods give you the strength and power to bear the madness which flows through our minds.''
''Zubin, I've always imagined you as a crazy raver. The kinda guy that spends all night dancing to trance music while waving glow sticks and popping ecstasy.'' - Murderface
Thufir had his chin to his chest, remembering. Remembering the times he had gone to that land in the service of his Duke, assassinating political enemies, making it safe for his Duke when he came, so he wouldn't be assassinated. He couldn't remember much, but there was one place he remembered. "I've been to Amn before, but it was so long ago I cannot remember much about it. I only remember one place in that part of the world, Ten-Towns. Are we going to go near there?" Thufir overheard Zubin asking a question of Venex, and answered him "We aren't anywhere near Amn yet, we've just set off!"
"So you have been to the Ten Towns before, Thufir" Sir Elric said as he walked along side of Thufir. "It has been some months since I was last there, I was stationed there during a Goblin raid on Targos. I doubt we will see any of them, they are quite some distance from where we are headed."

Venex listened intently. He knew little of the land they were headed for and decided that his best way to learn would be to soak in what he heard. He did, however, want to speak to Balgarath. He knew he would have some insight, being an older and wiser Necromancer than he. Zubin walked on his other side, and seemed a little overwhelmed. Venex guessed that the man had not done a lot of travelling in his life.
"Ah, don't worry," he said, comfortingly. "I'm sure there'll be plenty to do when we get there." He eyed the sky. And quite possibly plenty to do on the way... The thought stuck ominously in his head and refused to leave. He again had that discomfort, that silent doubt that had enveloped him in the sewers. Not all was right with the world and, as a Necromancer, he could feel the strands of unbalance tugging on him for action.
Time to find Balgarath. He decided. He looked around and saw not the man, but his behemoth of an iron golem. He made his way through the group to the creature and found alongside him the smaller frame of it's master. "Pardon me," he spoke shakily. "Sir Balgarath?" The man turned his head and acknowledged him. "Might I speak with you? It's clear that your knowledge of the arts of Rathma are far superior to my own, and I couldn't help but wonder if you had any wisdom to pass on to a young Necromancer just earning his bones." He spoke genuinely, and although he was intimidated by the older man, he felt excited, childlike. He waited for a response and hoped he hadn't wasted his breath.
"Hmm what can I tell you that you do not already know" Balgarath pondered. "In truth I spent much of my youth emersed in the books and teachings of Rathma, and the pursuit of knowledge. It was not really until the onset of all this evil that I ventured out into the world. What would you like to know, prehaps we should start there."

Upon looking around at my travel companions, I have come to the conclusion that this will be a very interesting journey. I think Mantis will prove to very entertaining, he seems to like pulling tricks. I'm sure he has had a few adventuresome journeys, maybe he will share a tale with us when we make camp.
I overhear Sir Elric and Balgareth speaking of Amn, so I approach him and ask, "What do you know of Trademeet or the druid grove near there?"

"Trademeet, is well, much as it sounds, a place where merchants and traders gather to exchange goods. Sir Elric said. "Smaller than Athkatla, but still fairly large. As for the Druid Grove, I am not too familiar with it, no. If I recall they had a spot of bother with some evil Shadow Druids a while back, but it seems to be over it now"

Carloseus looks puts a hand on Phasys to ease him.
"Calm my friend, if there is danger you need not worry. We here are very capable of handling anything should we come in contact with something. Do you know how to wield a sword? Perhaps we can spar lightly on our way there to pass the time. Nothing like a little fun to make a journey quicker, and it will help out our bodies. I am still sore from the last battle." he said, flexing his arms slowly.
"I will never allow myself to wield a sword. I've taken from people for the past year. But I will never take a life. However, if you think that it is necessary, then I will oblidge, but know that if any human is my enemy, he shalt not be skewered by my hand." said Phasys. "Anyway, I don't even own a weapon besides my dagger. You don't have a spare do you?" inquired Phasys.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
At first puzzled by this comment, Carloseus laughed.
"Haha, did you not see the many demons laying siege to the city? Demons and men are very differing creatures, there are enough demons out there to keep your hands clean of human blood."
"I hope we do not encounter any of the evil Druids, Sir Elric."
Notices an herb growing near a bush and rushes over to pick some of it.
Rejoins the group and overhears Carloseus offering to spar with Phasys. "I will would like to spar with you sometime, I am afraid my quarterstaff skills need improving."

"Good! I shall be easy on you, these swords are heavy as they look." Carloseus replies, hiding his extreme delight that she out of all people had responded.
Carloseus unsheathes his sword from the brace on his back.
"Venex!" It was Phasys. The Necromancer turned to face the man and smiled, surprised. He could see that the tall man was starting a conversation though, and wouldn't interrupt. Besides, he had his own business to take care of.
"I too," he said to Balgarath, "have never before been so involved in the workings of Trang-Oul. I imagine you feel the unbalance in the world as I do. All I know is that I'm pleased to run into a fellow follower of Rathma. It's an unexpected and pleasent surprise." Balgarath seemed pleased by the younger man's enthusiasm.
"What I really wanted to know," said Venex, pointing to the hulking Iron Golem, "is how you created him".
"aah, an Iron Golem" Balgarath spoke "is created not so much through the art of necromancy but through the art of alchemy, the science of breaking things down and reconstructing them. And as such it is bound by the law of equivalent exchange, to obtain something of equal value must be lost. That is to say if I was to make an Iron Golem from this dagger, it would not make a very powerful golem. nor would it be an overly large one either, equivalent exchange also encompasses size and mass. Vasallus here was created out of a very large and heavy suit of armor, so he is exceptional strong and resilient" "Infact all Golems are created through the use of alchemy, a Clay Golem requires a mass of earth, a Blood Golem requires a portion of your own blood, and even a Fire Golem, requires a flame for it's creation, The other thing to remember is the more powerful a golem you try to make, the more magical energy it requires, again equivalent exchange. Its a fairly simple process once you get the hang of it all, would you like to try it?"

Carloseus had been sparring with Cinara for quite a while now, he could tell she was getting tired.
"Let us resume tomorrow, you are weary. For now we can stop and talk, perhaps learn a bit from the others here." he suggested. Then he over heard Balgarath teaching Venex.

Carloseus was interested in learning how to further master his skill in the fire and cold elements.
"My lord Balgarath, any suggestions as to how to further my skills? I can use projectiles of fire however I've heard of mages that can set entire feilds aflame!"
"I am not too familiar with those magics, but I would assume the principle is the essentually the same" Balgarath stated. "The more magical energy used to cast a spell, the greater the damage it can do, or the larger its area of effect will be. Experience, practice and a deeper concerntration should yield the desired effect, the more you cast a spell, the more you learn of it's power and limitations"

Skylor Framlin sat along the road side ahead of the traveling party. His robes were draped over his small frame and he was holding himself in a simple meditation posture with is legs crossed, eyes closed, and his spade staff laying across his legs. He hummed lightly in song as his mind reached out into the world to see that which was around him and his spirit found the place of enlightenment allowing his body to rest.
Skylor's mule wrestles about and nudges him in the back as the group approaches.
"Be calm Kalym, I do not think they wish us any harm."
The mule eyed the marching group and continued to move around restlessly. The packs on the animals back clanked and groaned as he moved. A light wind caused his greying mane to sway back and flow. He shivered slightly and the brown and black hair on his body raised.
"Just be calm Kalym, we'll be fine."

The group of adventurers approached the monk, who appeared to have not have heard a word Sir Elric had said and was still be in meditation.
