The Diabloesque font (from TristramMod (minus the music)) is helpful for separating and picking up items in piles. Its smaller
Still waiting for someone to re-do the UI and separate the health and mana orbs to each side
Also... Stat respec potion to go with the Skill respec potion
Mods i'll be looking out for
1) More pet selection (ie, Small Bear, Giant Snake, Monkey)
2) A re-do of the skill system which creates more distinction between the classes
3) A Diablo-2-esque quest log
4) Different pictures for the quality of socketable ember gems
5) An AI update for pets... Pets are fucking retarded 6) A Cow level portal
7) Stat respec potion
I didn't read ALL the posts in this thread, so forgive me first off. I'm pretty into the game right now, I think it'll tide me over until D3. I just said to a friend though, "I'm starting to think that TL is a scheme by the D3 staff to show just how quote unquote cartoony life could get. D3 looks SO much more realistic now."
Joking of course. ^.^ Loving the game so far though, everything about this screams clone but it feels soooo good.

Not bad, finally got lucky with enchanting and I could do it 4-5 times without getting "You were unlucky!"
I hate it when games augment DPS like this.
They nerf slow DPS weapons, by making the spells do "X% of DPS", unlike before where it did X% of weapon damage.
But they forget how OP even the slightest damage upgrades are to fast weapons, because the DPS per increase is far greater for a fast weapon than a slow weapon.

1) - well, seeing as how every monster in the game is theoretically a pet, might as well just make a new monster, or reskin an existing one. I'd love it if modders actually did new anims, that would be killer.
2) that's pretty under-the-hood for a mod - I'd be impressed
3) yes, that would be nice
4) "
5) I thought the 3 options were pretty good, though I really only used 'aggressive' - would you keep the 3 options? what would you change?
6) horse, not cow
7) this was one of the first mods out, I think runic themselves released it, and I wouldn't be surprised if respec potions show up at merchants after the patch coming out in the next day or two

The respec potion only works for skills (not stats). Unless I'm missing something

I except to see high res skin mods, new towns, new monsters, new classes, new skills eventually if this Torchlight mod program they've yet to release is what they say it is

I believe you're correct on both counts. Yeah, respeccing on stats would be a nice subject for a mod...
But going back to the pet - did you not like the 3 option format? What would you do differently (aside from making the pathing better, which is much harder than it seems and would be near-impossible if the levels were more truly random). I personally wish there was an auto-errand list, like buy pots if the current # is under 5 for each, return quest items and get a new quest from that giver, etc.
Focused - Singles out and attacks the enemy with the lowest life / who dies the fastest
Ranged - Uses his ranged spells primarily and/or ranged attack if available (ie, if transformed). Does not engage in melee combat or come in melee range of the enemy
Nice axe, esp if that is without enchants. Interesting to see how nerfed the patch will be.
I like your idea, but it would probably need to wait for the MMO even if they wanted something like that for the vanilla release. The problem is that the pet interface is already too crowded and overwhelming for the average newb, which is definitely a big part of the target audience for the SP.
Hopefully the mods evolve into something that satisfies advanced players relatively quickly, that would definitely be a good addition to it.
There's a respec mod that has different potions, but you have to do them one by one. i.e. -1 from this stat/+1 to that stat. I'd like to see a real one but at least this is a start.

I found an enchant shrine in one of those 3 levels (You know that part of the quest where you have to get some runic thingy from 3 portal things so they can be combined to continue... I wasnt paying attention to the riveting details)
And I noticed that every time I leave the area back through the portal and re-enter, the enchant shrine resets
Don't be tempted to use any cheats with your character once you get bored. It will brand your character "the Cheat" and then disable the shared stash for that character
If you want to test out the cheats to see the capability then create a new character

D3 tomb and skeles
TL tomb and skeles

On very hard, this game consists of
1) Me 1 hit killing everything
2) Getting 1 hit killed
Im starting to rack up some serious double digit numbers for death count in my journal *bows head in shame*
