With all this color scheme discussion, and stuff I've seen on the Age of Conan forums, do you think that if you never went onto a game forums, that you would still think the same way you do about that game?

The moments i saw the gameplay trailer my jaw dropped and my first thought was 'wow!' then coming on these forums and finding out about a petition and other silly polls sort of made me angry. Didn't change my opinion on the visuals though.
The only time i ever have a forum persuade me would be if they provided enough proof/evidence that something was wrong and also if enough people believed it then i would probably also have second thoughts.
I honestly don't think it would change much... maybe... maybe not. I mean they couldn't really consider themselves a major game company if they didn't stand behind their work.

Yes they do. At anytime when I was excited for The Burning Crusade to be released, I could just go into the WoW forums and have my hopes shot to death.
Of course, it never really lasted, but it did impact me for a short while.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
Hmm, I think they tend to push your further in the direction you were already heading. For instance when I first saw the trailer I was so excited and amazed, then I cringed when I saw the barb armor, and cringed even more when I saw him standing next to Cain looking like he just hopped the fence from WoW. I then went to the forums and found so many other things people talked about that I hadn't noticed at first but once pointed out were also obviously problematic.
