You have no idea what your talking about.
If 1.8 gigs is "too much for you machine" then I think you need to upgrade.
Meh, it's 1.8 gigs to DOWNLOAD. That means if you have Verizon... that's what... two days? And I know because half a gig ook me 6 hours. If you have Time warner, oh well, you lucky bastard.
Why would you play the game on a Pc unable to run it on high.
Its just gunna look bad and you wont get a good experience.
You could just play the 360 version, where you know its on full performance ,and you wont run into any problems.
Look at the PC Bioshock forums at gamespot.com
All of the topics are "Will my Pc run this??" "Why wont it woork!?" "Somethings Wrong."
360 is just the fans praising.
Just a tip because Bioshock should be enjoyed as it was meant to be.
With stunning visuals.
I don't have 360. Niether do I have enough to get one. I have my hopes for Bioshock on at least low possibly medium, DX9. My cpu owns except the graphics card lol. And, yes, no money for new one either...
I like graphics a lot. But my consideration of bad experience is when it doesn't run 100% smooth (excluding loading when it's not going into a screen)
Alright it took me 75 mins or so. I'm about to start the install hope it takes like 10 minutes and in 15 I'll be playin!
Pht, your welcome sessler...
EDIT: OMFG, I got scared. I started 2 line-up things for Bioshock cause I was bored and wanted to see what would win... and then when they were both done (well I didn't look but I just new they were from when I last looked at em.) I checked first one. "Invalid username or password." I start freakin out here damn I gota redownload (btw it doesn't make sense it never said u need username/pass.) But then I check other line-up download. AND IM SAFE WOOOO!

I played the 360 demo the day it came out on the 360. While impressed by the gameplay, the graphics, the atmosphere is amazing, and it has no doubt the best opening scene in gaming since the mono-rail ride in hl1. The game just doesn't live up to being the "spirtual sucessor" of the System Shock series, because it lacks where SS kicked ass and that's in the scare department. Nothing is scary in this game, creepy, or unnerving. It's like I was playing F.E.A.R again, patiently waiting till I got a scare that never came

All jokes aside it does look pretty cool tho. Kinda like a Doom 3 clone.

I'm not going to ruin ANYTHING.
Download this demo, come in totally unhyped , and when you finish it youll want the game instantly.
The game is not a Doom 3 clone...wow.
Doom 3 is
*Run into a room, shoot the monsters*
*Run into the next room, shoot the monsters*
This game combines it plasmid gameplay with truley cinematic scenes and graphics.
Dont even think about dling this if you dont have a pc with atleast..
Dual core processor
atleast a gig, 2 gigs is needed for high settings.
an Nvidia 6600 series or higher, 7800-8800 GTX or Ultras for High settings.
If you dont have a godly rig, go buy a 360.
Trust me you'll love this.
