First shot, with my new Intuos4 graphics tablet, my first shot with a graphics tablet at all rather, only got it today :3
started as a quick sketch, thought I'd just throw some stuff into to make it more interesting.
Done it all on one layer, so I couldn't really do much. Not going to bother finishing it either.
Uhh, more to come, once I get used to my tablet etc. Already sketching a cheeky fallen shaman.
So stay tuned >: D

Oh, that's hardly an excuse. Thousands of years artists have made masterpieces with 'one layer', and the digital artists of today can pull it off as well.
Advice: use a large, hard, round brush. Soft edge brushes are only useful when blending. You should use a big hard brush to block in your values pretty early on- be confident in your strokes. And then use smaller, less opaque brushes for blending.
And don't forget to play with your opacity and size pen pressure settings.

But, yeah, first time using my tablet, and was just playing around with it. I'm getting a lot better now, though.
