Yea, Apple really isn't that great. My big beef with them is that they write and build their stuff in such a way that it's incredibly difficult to mod and customize it to your liking.

Granted, Apple make a good bit of ideas.
Apple products aren't for everyone's needs, in fact they exceed in very specific tasks. You pay extra for the fact that every product is built from the ground up to Apple's specifications in every aspect. From the material composition (New types of plastics and glass that are in no other products), to the software, and up through the UI. Compare this to ANY other PC company, and they look like a Picasso painting in comparison. If you buy an Apple product, you should have needs in mind that need to be fulfilled by the product. I'll be certifying new employees who want to become Apple "Geniuses" this year at Ocean County's main retailer, and I can say from years of debates that it truly is a matter of needs. Apple is such a big name, and they advertise so strongly that most people look to replace their current PC, or mobile device with an Apple product just because it's different. These people should go do some research..

Don't get me wrong, I understand Apple does great things. I just don't like their iOS at all, and most people get an Apple because it's cool and hip.
That being said, hire me, I'll be an Apple "Genius" if the pay is good.
Yeah most of the people who come in looking to buy a product have no idea what they want.. Or know anything about tech for that matter..
Me: Hello, can I help you with anything?
Costumer: Yes, I'm looking for a laptop for college.
Me: Okay, what tasks are you looking for it to accomplish?
Costumer: Ugh, idk, reports and stuff.
Me:.. Okay, get the f*ck out of here and buy a $150 Toshiba.. <_<
It does pay pretty well, though in some areas the course costs a good amount.. Ranging from like 100 - 300. Most retailers will start you at 10 an hour or higher though :).
