Organic food doesn't solve the problem even remotely. Primarily, because organic food is not really organic, they are merely trying to find a reason to double overcharge you. There's also food not labeled organic that's organic, or food that used to be organic before the concept existed but now it's called organic but costs more. Also, things like waxing and dying is often done to make products more sellable. That kind of shit shouldn't be allowed on food. Chemical residue shouldn't be allowed on food. Ever, any food.
If you say that we NEED pesticides to survive you obviously have never owned a farm lol. It may be difficult for one singular person to support a huge farm, but if you have a collective of about 10 households it gets very easy since your food production rises exponentially and you have tons even left over even after saving some up for winter. And this is with just your hands and feet and shovels and having to water ever plant. I'm not even talking about the use of farming equipment. And farming technology is pretty advanced iirc.
Seriously, the earth doesn't hate you anywhere near as much as people like to claim.
You also don't have to pay for that $50 a month gym pass since you get all the physical exercise you'll ever need.
If we're talking about a huge farming corporation they should have no issues producing tons of quality food to sell. The problem is, they'll be richer if they produce MORE low quality food. And since most people are not even aware what food tastes like they eat it anyway.
The idea of "shop" and "fresh food" is an oxymoron. If it's in a shop, it's not fresh. You want fresh, you'll need to go to a local farm 200 miles away and buy yourself a pumpkin, that's fresh. Maybe. It's very difficult to trust anyone at this point.
Turning time into a resource is the primary mistake of the system. Time is not a resource, period. It belongs to every given person and they should be free to do with it what they please. Putting everyone on the treadmill and taking their time hostage with concepts of "job" and "school" is why everyone is so freaking depressed and unmotivated.
Growing your own food is always a good idea. It's 100% organic, and always fresh.
It's generally a good idea to keep track of trends and sell/buy certain things at the right time so that once the "Oh crap!" comes around, you're ready. But that's as much all you can do.
@ Nacho
The system always exists.
The system is composed of people.
Society, essentially, is the system.
While certain societies and justice systems raise one's level of living to a certain extent, it's important to realize why things happen and what problems arise with them. Otherwise, people will stop improving it. And sometimes, it may flow into something like a 1984. As fictional as that scenario may be, a variation of it is not impossible. Sometimes, having good lives ourselves, we forget how others (the poor, for instance), live.
It's very important that there remain people who do not agree with the system and that they're allowed to exist. It's very important, in other words, that there remain people who break the law. Once we lose that, we are in huge trouble.
I don't believe the system exist as a separate entity, but that's a sociological debate that hasn't been solved yet so I won't go in there, but I see we share the idea that is important that we are aware that we can change the state of things when it's needed...
I think it's a safe bet to say Rage against the Machine is Anonymous' favorite band.

Anonymous is an idea. Anyone can be anonymous, anyone can have their own standards and thoughts. Seeking our injustice and correcting it, through whatever means one sees fit is the goal. Some will hack, some will protest, some will vote. It comes down to the individual.
Right, and clearly Rage Against the Machine is the favorite band.
