there's the possibility that someone hacked your account and "abused the economy". happened to a guildie of mine that hadn't played for 2 years (got a mail that told him he was getting banned - one that was real). anyway, he contacted Blizzard and it was easily solved.
the bugs could be a result of the streaming client. if not everything is downloaded or installed it appears there are problems (that dont exist after you finish with the download).
Right, this patch is broken, in case you didn't know.
Mages are currently the top tier DPS, rogues are nothing compared to them.
From my experience they've made leveling a lot easier, which is bad.
They removed AoE grinding, which is good.
They've managed to synergize the talents, which is fucking awesome.
They managed to make the classes the most unbalanced pieces of shit ever.
Mages are now dominating EVERYTHING.
Nigh unkillable with sick damage.
Rogues are pretty worthless unless you're Shadow Dance specced.
Protection Paladins are again, the best tanks to exist whilst Warriors suffer.
Everyone have zero downtime, which is pretty good since I hate eating stuff and whatnot.
So basically, Mages will dominate everything until they fix resilience.
Anyways, if you're going to make a new character you should probably do it now, since everything is broken and it's easy as fuck to level up.
Also, don't join BGs unless you're an Arcane or Fire Mage.
Even so, it's hilarious.
I'm an Enhancement Shaman with 350 DPS at level 46 or something.
That's just silly.
Patch 4.0.1 changes are all balanced around 85 content. Yes balance at this moment is off, but it's for a few weeks. Blizzard won't work their heck off to balance things around content that soon will be left in the dust.
So tbh I wouldn't make a big deal about it right now. It may prove to be similar at 85, and then might be the time to complain, but right now it's just useless.
actually mages aren't as buffed as Moonkin druids. sure, many of the changes made our rotations far better but the buff itself wasnt huge (it was "decent" considering mages were nerfed for every single patch fron WoW release up to the WotLK patch). I think players who play mages are more versatile and can adjust easier to changes, good or bad, that's why it seems they're OP right now. Warriors got hotfixed and they seem quite decent to play. DKs don't have as easy a time to aoe tank as before and paladins kinda rock, yeah.
i wouldnt say its broken. at least no more than WotLK patch was before its release. I remember going into Black Temple and taking down trash packs to aoe instead of the "normal" procedures at that time too. It's just that the classes have gone through serious changes and most people haven't figured out good rotations just yet. once that happens it will be back to normal.
