Hey guys, I have some comments and questions. First of all i have always known about WoW but have never played it. I just played it for the slightest bit and i know i shouldnt judge it yet, but is it just me or is the style alot slower and less action like than diablo? Now i am not saying WoW is bad or anything, but my freind wants me to play and says later in WoW it gets much faster than diablo. To me i dont see how it can because the style is just slow and boring from what i have played...am i right or no?
and that beign said i have come to the conclusion that people that are worried about diablo 3 becoming to much like WoW....it simply cant lol..from what i have seen anyway. The reason i dont like WoW from what i have seena dn played isnt because of the ideas implemented (except for a few lol), but rather the overall style of fighitng and i prefer iso view.
Umm.. With that attitude you should probably just stick to diablo. If you dont like the pace because your such a hardcore diablo fan then why bother? The pace doesn't really change tooo much, but its a different type of game completely. Just because blizz made it doesn't mean it is gonna be world of diablo lol.

I mean..I suppose the raiding are definitely way more fast paced. Instead of 8 guys its 50 and your all fighting something. It outdoes D2 definitely in pace.

I felt the same way about wow once i got into it.....but that said once i hit 60 and started raiding i quickly didnt care how slow it was it was SOOO addictive, same with level 70 and tomorrow level 80 lol......What your friend is saying tho is very wrong....the game at max level is still slow as hell you just wont notice it anymore cause you wont care from being so addicted
If you PvP you gotta be on your toes. I guess WoW is a little bit slower than D2 but that's cuz in D2 you focus on annihilating 30 guys at once. WoW definitely picks up as you start getting way more skills and talents and what not. You should play it a little more for yourself and see.
wow is cool!! i played it, and was kinda addicted for 3 months, and i had very fun times, and i never was sorry for playing it..
hate for wow developed when we saw that some elements are used in D3..i suggest that you play it further, its not slow..its a cool game with lots of fun!! but quests suck..
The boring part of WoW is leveling and questing. The game only really starts when you hit the level cap and that's OUT OF DISPUTE.
The problem with naysayers and your regular WoW-haters is that they never reached the point where the game really starts. You will hear them criticizing the quests and killing trash mobs as if that's all the game is about, because they simply never advanced past that. It's actually like a noob-filter. It doesn't allow noobs like that to enter the end-game queue because that's reserved from the pros. So when you see people complaining and quitting WoW, that means the game did a good job filtering out the noobs.

too true! now that wotlk has been released i hope they at least speed up the levelling process again as its kinda annoying levelling thru irrelevant quest after quest just so you can get to the end game content. wish they made some of the old world raids into lvl 80 raids so they wouldnt be wasted spots on a map... not much fun 5 manning an old 40 man instance full of crappy lvl 60 items. they should just up the levels of the creatures and give people a reason to go back to em.
Yes, non-social people should probably stick with D2 with hammerdins, capable of solo spamming the end boss, rather then WoW in which you have to come up with strategies and characters and classes that compliment each other and work as a team.

They ARE recycling Naxxramas in WoTLK.
